Looks good, although that map looks like you would constantly just get taken out from behind as every room seems to connect and you just have to frantically run about.

Reminds me of Battlefield 1's Ballroom Blitz map.

Stunning, absolutely stunning. Heroes look like they go down easier this time, except Darth Maul who seems somewhat overpowered - or the person controlling him was just that good.

Anyone know how the hero/vehicle/alt trooper battle point stuff works? It wasn't super clearly laid out.

One thing I noticed: A 'Starfighter Assault' game mode was mentioned before the trailer played, near the end of the multiplayer trailer (the X-Wings and Millennium Falcons shooting down TIE Fighters in the asteroid field) might be related to it.

Such a game mode was on my dream list of game modes to bring in, given how popular Walker Assault has been in BF. I thought it was pie in the sky though, I didn't think they'd actually do it. :toot:

Shame they never showed off anything from the single player campaign.

Still doesn't look that great so far. Hopefully they show more during the week.

Maybe at Sony or MS' events, or Gamescom?

I'm hoping that Sony have the exclusive for VR content in the game.

Multiplayer information-spree from Dennis, the game's design director, who joined in on a YouTube stream:

Droidekas may not be available at launch, but Dennis wants them in the game.

There will be the same amount of prequel content as sequel content (no favoritism).

Phase 1 Troopers are planet-specific. Kamino = Phase 1, etc.

Boba Fett still has the Flamethrower as his melee attack.

Darth Maul's Force Choke move is controllable.

Darth Maul side-steps instead of blocking.

Rey and other Force-wielding heroes only parry shots, but more experienced lightsaber wielders can reflect them (Vader etc).

Not all troopers will die from one slash of a lightsaber.

'Heavy' units have 200hp. Darth Maul has a whopping 700 (shows how quick they die and how beneficial the regen is)

You'll find yourself in a different squad every time you spawn in, to promote squad play.

Info on playing with friends is coming later on, they aren't sure exactly when yet.

Rogue One content taking place in locales other than Scarif is confirmed.

FOV slider is in.

Skirmish info coming later, but it's a lot bigger than BF2015, though it's still not a mirror of multiplayer.

Skirmish being treated as a bridge from single player to multiplayer.

Anti-cheat stuff getting improved.

Rolling is actually good now, and not exploitable like the current game. No dodging and shooting while rolling, etc.

You can roll backwards, sideways and forward.

The Hutt Contract system is coming back, albeit with some alterations.

White hit markers for hits, red for kills.

Cool-down system - you can now cool down manually whenever, just like reloading.

If you completely overheat your gun, a cool-down bar appears. If you click in the yellow zone you get an instant cool-down, but if you click in the smaller green zone you'll get a quick period of no overheating, too.

Officer battle command increases heavy HP from 200 to 250.

3 star cards and 1 passive card, similar to a trait.

Default heavy 4th card is Defender - using it grants the player battle points for taking damage.

Scoping, crouching and standing still all increase accuracy.

For the sake of the demo, the MTT always blows up the palace doors. It will be balanced at launch.

Dennis agrees to add "WATCH THOSE WRIST ROCKETS!" audio line.

Dennis won't confirm whether or not all unique units (B2, Jumptrooper) have 2 abilities.

Different classes have different health regeneration times.

Han Solo has a Proximity Bomb ability.

Emotes confirmed for everyone.

Manual rolling of starfighters.

Sometimes in Galactic Assault, there'll be more than 2 heroes per side (but not all the time).

Bacta Bomb is gone, replaced by something similar.

If you crash into another ship, you'll both die.

Galactic Assault is an expansion of the Walker Assault game mode from BF2015, e,g. Galactic Assault on Hoth is Walker Assault mode from BF2015. The mode will have unique objectives on each world, livening things up considerably.

Heroes will have set abilities - the customization comes in the form of upgrades.

You can still switch shoulders in third person mode.

I finally got the Platinum Trophy on Battlefront 2015 today.

The hardest trophy by far to get was the one for winning one game of Hero Hunt - eventually I found a post online recommending the SE-14C blaster pistol, with a star card load-out of Jump Pack, Explosive Shot, Bowcaster and Scout. With that I managed to be the second or third hero on the Sullustan Imperial Base map - I chose Bossk, and ran circuits around the outside edge of the map, occasionally stopping to let the other players catch up to me so I could drop my dioxis and micro grenades on them. Eventually, they wised up to my route and started setting up blaster cannon barricades up to get me, I just turned around and reversed my route. :slol: I eventually died near to the end of the round with 49 kills. My one and only Hero Hunt win.

So strawberry floating relieved.

I just need to unlock the Rebel and Imperial officer outfits and I think I'm done, until Battlefront II arrives. I won't be finishing the diorama - 9 more Hero Hunt wins and 40+ kills as a U-Wing? GTFO, DICE.

Probably because, and no matter how much EA might state otherwise, said single player campaign is not much more than an afterthought and will no doubt be quite forgettable.

Bit of a choppy feed, switching between players frequently and all, but damn that's a pretty game.

Slave 1 has the Seismic Charge from AotC.

Looks great, that's a good explanation video really. Looking forward to the story behind the single player mode although it will probably just want me to want them to make a film out of it.
