I assume we'll see Fett starting out during the onset of the Clone Wars, and go from there? Or do you think we'll see more of Jango and Kamino?

If they absolutely must do that, I'd settle for a pre-titles sequence that shows Baby Boba holding Jango's helmet (hey-ooooo), before immediately winding on 15 years at which point he's a badass who simply doesn't give a strawberry float.


Or, it should simply begin with his escape from Sarlacc.

Yeah, that's a very good shout. When you think, it's pretty incredible that the Empire had to outsource the finding of Luke/Han at all.

They did hedge their bets and use others, though... Of course, there was only one winner.

The Bossk figure I had was always one of my favourites. I hope we see more Bossk.

Edit: just read the below. According to Wookiepedia, Bossk helped mentor the young Boba Fett. So yeah, we should see more of him.

Perhaps Vader chose to utilize bounty hunters because he knew that they could do the job, and official agents couldn't? I assume that there's a history between the two - perhaps a younger Fett aided a younger Vader in tracking down tricksy Jedi?

There is history in which they fought one-on-one and Fett had the chance to kill Vader but didn't, but it's expanded universe stuff which means nothing now.

While all these questions remain, what I will say is this: the OT raised tonnes of questions such as these. Left lots hanging, hinted at battles and wars and heroic deeds, but left you to fill in the blanks. And it was majestic.

Why is Fett a badass? What is the Kessel run? Why does Darth walk like that? What were the Clone Wars? What's a T-16? What's a womp rat... and so on and so on.

The prequels showed that it's better not to have all your questions answered, than to have them done so badly. I hope these 'side project' films will not become an example of too much of a good thing.

That would be a badass fight for any SW movie. EU stuff is meaningless now, yeah, but come on, they're still gonna cherry pick things from it.

JJ Abrams has admitted cutting some old movie references from the new film.

Yeah that's reassuring. Of course as a viewer you want to see some explanation about the gap between the movies but I didn't want to see the characters bumping into droid salesman Johnny Fett.

Whereas Lucas crammed the prequels with as many references as possible, whether they were logical or not.

Lando to make a return in Episodes 8 and 9.
