I just read that 'Solo: A Star Wars Story' is still due out 25th May 2018, i was convinced that it had been put back till xmas 2018 for some reason. With only 5 months to go i wonder if this will actually be the first of the new star wars films not to get delayed. Which makes me wonder why they haven't gone for a May 4th release date.

Bit of a shame though as i love watching them at xmas for some reason.

Also with only 5 months to go i would have expected a trailer before TLJ showings.

Avengers Infinity War is released on May 4th.

Regardless though, I expect it'll get pushed back to Christmas.

Yeah, i was just expecting that announcement to have already happened. I know there's been reports of extensive re shoots but all seems quiet.

I had forgotten Infinity War was May 4th.

Still no Solo: A Star Wars Story trailer but they have at least released an official synopsis for the film.

Nothing jaw dropping, pretty much what you would expect. Will Solo actually make it's May release date? It's all very quiet.

Seems really odd that we haven't even had a teaser trailer yet, I'd have thought they'd be hyping it like crazy by now.

Well that's the sort of synopsis I could imagine the internet making from the title alone.

I don’t really get the “feminist agenda” complaints of these new films. Star Wars has always had strong female characters in positions of authority - Palme, Leia, Mon Mothma and C3P0.

Rey, Jin and Holdo are just the next wave of that, it’s not controversial or agenda-pushing.

Agreed, sure we would have seen something by now. You think that if there was a may release you would have seen a teaser during episode 8

I like how even he makes it sound awful in the blurb:

You will probably enjoy it most when you view it less as a blockbuster movie and more as some kind of episode from some
non-existent mediocre Star Wars series
