I want to see it this weekend, but I don't know how far in advance to get to the cinema. 2 hours? 3 hours? Should I book tickets in advance?

I'd book on advance. Do it online and see how many seats are free.

Wish my image sig would work

Will people still go and watch the film if movie critics dislike it?

No I couldn't really care less what critics think about stuff really

Going to see this on Sunday, only seen the first trailer. Weirdly not hyped at all despite being a big Star Wars fan. I think the Marvel films use up all my hype these days.

Booked our seats for 10:05am Eastern US time at the Cinemark theater at the Greene in Beavercreek, Ohio. I don't see anything about how many free seats there are. I think it's first come, first served.

No seating plan, no seating assignments, just a guarantee that we'll get seats. If we get there at 10:00am on the dot, we'll get seats, they'll just be shitty side-of-the-theater seats. I'd like to avoid that.

It's a 45 minute drive away and I've never driven the route. Probably leaving at 8am on the dot, maybe earlier. That should see us in good stead. I imagine the noon-afternoon-evening showings will be a lot busier, though I expect ours to be fairly packed too.

We’re going to have a separate thread for discussing the actual film once it’s out like we did for the Force Awakens, right? So this thread stays spoiler-free? Still not sure when I’m going to get round to seeing it :fp:

Initial reviews are positive which is nice but I've not seen anything beyond headlines to avoid spoilers.

Just praying it's better than TFA...

Just read a potential spoiler on reddit whilst browsing a completely unrelated topic. Wankers! :|

Going on Friday with the GF and her kid. It's killing me that I'm having to wait that long to be honest.

I have to wait till Sunday as I’ve agreed to go with my sister in laws husband when they come up from London for the weekend as it’s become a Christmas tradition however I really want to try to fit it in earlier and pretend that I haven’t seen it :shifty:

 Lloyd Grossman sounds downright normal compared to the guys who run that channel.
