AotC is redeemed by the Clone Wars cartoon. In fact, if they remade AotC with the same crew who did the cartoon, it could be a lot better.

If Aotc was remade by the pg tips monkeys and consisted solely of them flinging gooseberry fool around, it would be a lot better.

It’s in no way redeemed by the cartoon.

The cartoon is great.

The movie remains one of the biggest piles of gooseberry fool that I have ever watched.

I found there was a couple of times were I felt the humour fell completely flat, at the start when Poe is talking to Hux, the repetition killed that line in my opinion. Still can't wait to buy it and give it another watch though, as for the most part it was fantastic. The fight in the Throne Room is indeed epic :D

Just finished watching The Revenge of The Sith, I get chills every time I see the fight between Obi Wan and Anakin. I seem to enjoy the ROTS more each time I watch it as well which probably sounds a little odd. Will get Rogue One watched at some point over the weekend.

The only part of RotS that really bugs me is the battle in the Chancellor's office. Palpatine just waltzes up to everyone and one quick stab later they're all dead. Even considering the insane screeching move he pulls to reach them, you'd think their reflexes would match his and make for a bigger fight.

Ive always hated that bit, one reason being exactly what you've mentioned, the other being that he shouldn't have a lightsaber at all... he should just crush the strawberry float out of them with his massive force powers, or at least lightning them.

I didn't mind him having a lightsaber, really, I mean he would have been made to build one when he was an Apprentice anyway, so it fits - and being faced with three or four Jedi Masters at once, he would've wanted some sort extra firepower.

Yeah the Jedi really should have given it a better go, at least Windu gives him a good fight, I think the rest probably got killed so easily so we could see Windu being very good in a duel.

Interesting about the Force on Coruscant being clouded by a shrine, never heard of that before, too easy to get lost on sites like Wookiepedia looking up Star Wars lore and the like so I try not to do it too often.

I went to buy the last Jedi earlier and I just couldn't do it, then it made me realise I prefer the phantom menace to it :dread:

I, I actually fancy watching the phantom menace now :dread: :dread:

I feel like I should call my sponsor

Nothing is wrong with liking Phantom Menace over the new stuff. I don't have a definitive list, but I always say Phantom Menace is my favourite.

Preferring the phantom menace is a joke of an opinion.
What the strawberry float.

There is nothing close to the best bits of TLJ in TPM but the horrendous cringe worthy scenes are probably on par. TLJ has no excuse though as they had 20 years of people explaining why the bits in the new trilogy were so bad and they went ahead and did them again anyway.

I'm dreading watching that opening scene again, it's strawberry floating awful.

I nearly shat myself during this scene in the cinema but on second viewing and knowing how it all amounts to nothing it just fell totally flat.

Only part of the opening scene I didn't like was when Poe was talking to/at General Hux trying to be overly comedic, if they'd left it at just the one "is that Hux?" they'd have got awy with it in my opinion but they took it way too far.

Well yeah that's exactly the bit I'm talking about. That and the Luke "feel the force" bit are two of the worst bits in the series of films.

Yeah the force bit is a bit cringe worthy as well, on the whole I still really enjoyed The Last Jedi though, despite a few cringe worthy scenes/moments.

Anyway I'm on with Rogue One now, been a while since I've watched this one actually.

I don't know if I should watch the trailer. Does it spoil much?
