I'm not too fussed that I've watched the trailer as I agree with Skippy with regards the misdirection. Also, after the Rogue 1 trailers, maybe half that stuff won't even appear in the final cut! I'll definitely be avoiding the '58 things you might have missed in the Star Wars trailer' videos though and not just because of that fella's (australian?) accent.

Odeon is doing a midnight showing of Last Jedi on the 14th December. You go at 9pm on the 13th, watch Force Awaken, there is a 18 minute interval and at 00:01 they start The Last Jedi

I watched the trailer but I now kinda wish I hadn’t. Looks great, though.

It's cynical as all strawberry float.

There's a range of soft toys with massive eyes that my niece (8), and apparently all her friends are mad into. I couldn't tell you what they're called*, but they sell like crazy, apparently. This is clearly a very targeted attempt to sell into that crowd.

Fake edit: A Ty Beanie Boo, apparently.

To be fair, they're being faithful to the franchise. This is extremely Star Wars-esque.

My daughter was bought the penguin on the front row. Creepy as strawberry float when you see any light reflecting off its eyes at night in her room  :dread:

They had (and cut) snowspeeders in the Force Awakens, so you'd hope they wouldn't do a snow planet again

On the flipside, it's probably to be expected that many, many of the universe's habitable planets would be cold enough to be predominantly snowy.

It's not a snow planet, it's been described as basically like a salt plain.

I just watched this on my phone - maybe that was a bad idea as I felt kind of disappointed. It just all felt a bit prequel like as someone said. I hope it turns out to be better than it seems, and in hindsight I wish I hadn’t watched it.
Those of you who have resisted, well done.

I've watched it a few times now and the spoiler about Chewie's family is quite something.

Trailer looks awesome.

I've been trying to book tickets for hours on Cineworld's website. Seems their servers are gooseberry fool.

I have resisted so far, but my interest in Star Wars has waned slightly after the rather drab Rogue One, so perhaps that's not a big shock to me.

What I found surprising was they all wore clothes, meaning Chewie has been naked in all the films.
