I’m gradually going round and clearing up side missions and collectibles. Very satisfying. But jeez, Koboh is a hell of a size.

Worth it, IMO. There’s a lot of game there.

The main “home” planet, with Greez’s bar, but also stretching all the way to that massive Lucrehulk ship.

It’s worth exploring for the encounters with the Scottish fisherman.

Just had an email from Xbox to say this is reduced to £27.99 until tomorrow..

That's my biting point, but I know as soon as I pay for it, it'll be added to gamepass :?

Been playing this the past few days. I have to say I'm really enjoying it. It's such a nice breezy game to play, it always has you switching up what you're doing so it remains fresh for long sessions. I really like the exploration on Koboh and how accessible everything is.

The biggest drawback for me so far is the combat which remains unfortunately clunky. Switching between attack and defence doesn't feel good and the animations are kind of muddy so it's hard to tell what's happening a lot of time. There's also a lag to it which in hectic situations makes it feel you're always a step behind and leads to things getting a bit button mashy. Performance is also a bit scratchy, but having said that it's absolutely gorgeous to look at so I can forgive it.

It seems to be a really chunky experience so hopefully I can stick with it and it stays enjoyable. I like Cal Kestis as a character so powering him up is fun. The story is just a bit blah so far (though to be fair it is Star Wars) so hoping for that to start becoming a bit more zippy.

Finished this just now.

What a fantastic game. So much variety and everything is a lot of fun. Combat can be pretty clunky which can make it feel more arcades than soulsy but you have so many options with how you go about it it’s easy to find something that fits you. Story is kind of typically Star Wars guff but the characters really carry it through, the twist was obvious a mile off and didn’t lead to a particularly satisfying ending but provided enough motivation for me to want to see it through. The set pieces are fantastic, several times the game really ups the anti on you and each time the action is great and exciting.

Feel like these games kind of get dismissed but this was such a big leap over the first, which I also enjoyed that it deserves much more praise.

Eurrggh, cannot handle quality graphics mode.
Who on earth can actually stomach 30fps.. luckily it still looks great in performance 60fps mode.

Helluva long first level, but really enjoyed that, a great looking game this really is.

I still suck at boss battles, but with some button mashing and some swearing I did it!

I've gone back to this after getting to the shattered moon first time before something more interesting came along. This time I'm in the Lucrehulk. strawberry floating game is way, way, way too long. Feels like a whole bunch of padding that doesn't need to be there (mostly parkour gooseberry fool). No idea how far through the game I am but if I'm only around half way then I can see me dropping it.

I'd guess you're about 2/3 of the way through

Yeah, two thirds seems about right. Although if it's the parkour you're hating... That's kind a core of the game. Parkour and combat. Although if I remember right, the game does steer more towards combat in the end game.

It's not that I don't like them, they just feel way longer than they need to be.

Understandable. There's definitely sections coming up where combat is the focus, especially a certain... event.

There's too much combat towards the end. It just turns into Force Unleashed with waves of enemies being thrown at you.

You can more or less fly by the end of the game. It gets a bit daft. And you're going to hate some of the Force Tears, if you choose to complete them all.

Might go back to this and give it another go. I completed it but it didn’t grab me like fallen order did. The story is a bit meandering, the open world elements didn’t land for me and was still glitchy despite patches.

Do love the combat and exploration though.

There's one parkour section that I nearly threw the controller over.
Presumably you haven't got to that bit yet... Nearer the end I think.
