What are you playing on? I was on XBSX at launch, there were a couple of freezes, and the second area when it opened up got choppy, but they patched it out pretty quickly. And after that it was fine. I cant recall any signficant glitches after that.

Not had anything major so far, but there's been a fair bit of screen tearing in a town.

Just unlocked the blaster

I’ve just had a few more glitches at this point I’m tempted to message Amazon and ask for my money back  it’s ridiculous.

Just got up the Vader fight at the archives. I swear this game, for some reason there was a boss battle (a storm trooper in a corridor) where the game somehow allowed me to beat him with one strike, assuming that wasn’t supposed to happen, and Vaders difficulty straight up seems to be 100, anyone else. Anyone done that, not too happy about the character switch.

Some of the levels have been okay the more I’ve gone on, but far too big for the sake of being big, the amount of times I’ve lost where I’m heading - I don’t think the map system is good at all

Yeah that boss fight is awful. Quite unfair but, even in terms of lore, it's just ridiculous. A hundred slashes with a saber barely makes a dent in him and he just keeps coming back for more. That entire scene was strawberry floating farcical, shat on the character's legacy. And then having to keep skipping those cut scenes after every restart just destroyed any momentum or spectacle that they were hoping to achieve.

This game is essentially less Soulslike and more akin to the Force Unleashed games. For me, that's a disappointment.

Still enjoying this. I've unlocked the cross guard stance, which seems great in some circumstances but useless in others, the trouble being you can't swap out of it until after you've been beaten and go to a meditation point.

The screen tearing in the large open area of Jedha is really bad, just does it constantly.

Having access to all stances, all the time, would have been so much better. Not sure why they forced you to only "equip" two as it doesn't even make thematic sense. Would've loved to have access to the more exotic styles for the times they would have been useful. As it was, I pretty much just stuck with the default.

This is where I’ve had the most issues (PS5)

Still enjoying this but definitely felt fallen order was better. More and bigger doesn’t always mean better. It gets some points for not making me lose and relearn all the skills from the first game (I know some are slightly changed). I hate when sequels come up with crappy reasons to reset your power.

Just had my first crash. The bit where BD gets the electricity ability and you eventually end up at a little imperial the fighter bay. Playing on the second from top difficulty so it's pretty tough, did some big waves of enemies and barely got through. The 'boss' fight . Decided to backtrack as id missed a collectible, and it crashed. About 20 minutes gone :simper:

It always stops for a few seconds about 5 seconds after a quick resume. And sometimes the audio is strawberry floated for a bit longer which then also causes hitches. Usually it kicks back in but sometimes they're long enough to get you worried.

Rolled credits. Feel very disappointed in the end. I mean it’s functionally good and enjoyable but it’s lost the spark of the original. The story is poor, the variety of planets feels worse than the original. The new stances seem good at first but the cross guard is so slow and the enemies so fast it’s practically useless. I did enjoy the exploration and Metroidvania element but even that outstays its welcome by the end. Combat remained solid but uninspired. I rolled my eyes at the number of encounters where it’s essentially waves of enemies coming at you.

Even the final cutscene was dull and I lost concentration only to see final credits and thought “is that it?” They build up the final destination throughout the game and it’s a real letdown for me.

Glad I didn’t pay £70 as I’d feel robbed. Especially since it still has bugs a plenty.

Just got to the Vader fight.

:fp:

This is the first thing in this game that has flat out pissed me off. First they've done the thing where you've been playing your way at your pace for the entire game, building up all your skills and powers, and then nope strawberry float you use a different character now with no health and a different sabre stance to what you're used to.. And then to top it off, this character is the one that has a fight with Vader. If you're making the story up, you can make it so Cal fights him, I don't care about the other character.. Tried it twice, got to what I hope is the last phase, died and got annoyed and turned it off. I'm playing one notch down from the hardest difficulty so it's pretty tough.

How much more of the game is there after that? I'm really enjoying it (canijustshockyou.jpg) and like going around trying to find all the secrets.

Oh, yeah. It's a tricky one to get used to. I turned the difficulty down to story mode from the middle setting just so I could get it done. There ain't much more to do after that, with a single chapter remaining.

Thanks. That's a shame, it feels like it could do with another planet or something.

Finished this earlier. Up until the double cross plot I'd say I was mostly loving the game, but everything after that just felt like they'd run out of steam and had to ass pull a way to end it all. The final area being particular bland and pointless after all the hype of how incredible it would be to go there..

One armed man as the main baddie throughout was poor as well, just felt repetitive rather than building to anything.

Got to love the lightsaber and blaster power inconsistencies between gameplay and cutscenes. In gameplay, someone takes countless full torso saber slashes with no effect beyond reducing some guard power, but then in a cutscene they're killed off by having a single saber stab :fp:

No, that’s completely intentional. It’s a moment of light-heartedness. Just a regular trooper who thinks he can take on a Jedi and charges in, earning himself the distinction of a boss gauge.

Rick the Door Techincan isn't a glitch. It's intentional.

You were battling through a long series of battles, no rest stops on the way. Then a boss battle music starts and Rick came running to defend his empire from you jedi scum.

It's a joke boss.

I liked the boss joke, it did make me laugh. Especially as I force pulled him from across the corridor and stabbed him for a one hit kill.

£30 on PS5 and Series X on Amazon right now. That’s a biting point for me.
