So much this. People complaining that the boring evil CG monster guy is dead when they have the most interesting villain the series has ever had. :fp:

I’m not really complaining, I’m just saying this trilogy so far seems to be about undoing what came before so don’t be suprised if somehow he isn’t dead :shifty:

I'm actually getting the opposite; most of the issues I have are down to shitty scenes that are definitely shitty but they are ultimately superfluous and the main storey beats are actually quite interesting.

Despite my numerous complaints, the biggest problem I have with the film is it's just too long. It kills my desire to sit through it again.

Yup. It is by no means a perfect film and is definitely the sloppiest of the main series in terms of pacing. I think these are outweighed by the originality it brings, but I can definitely see why some people disagree.

Interesting thread, I hadn't even considered that the events on Mortis in TCW might mean or influence anything beyond the ROTS-ANH time period.

I know nothing about the stuff above has i haven't really ever watched Rebels or Clone Wars etc..

I was think on TLJ, do the rebels now think that Kylo killed Luke as she sensed his death? did Leia know that it wasn't really luke and just a projection. So would either her or Rey be aware that Luke appears to have sacrificed himself to the force or whatever he did.

Well she 'touched' Luke's hand so I assume she knew then, if she didn't already. Also, she sensed Han's death, so if she can do it for her husband, I assume she can do it for her brother.

I've not watched Rebels, but I have watched Clone Wars, and it's easily some of the best Star Wars stuff out there. Would highly recommend it.

I imagine Leia will have been quite aware that it wasn't the "real" Luke who "fought" Ren, and she would have been able to feel his passing.

I was getting at more whether they now think that Kylo killed Luke, rather than Luke doing whatever he did and then just vanishing into the force or something. I don't think that's something that would be touched on or explored going forwards though. Especially as Leia can obviously no longer be in it to query what happened.

Don’t Leia and Rey have a bit of a moment on the Falcon which I thought was them both sensing Luke dying?

Yes. But what I was saying was did they realise that he sacrificed himself to the force or do they think Kylo killed him? did leia think it was really Luke in person who turned up.

He meant in a prequel style film.

I don't think we need any more prequels though. :dread:

Just finished watching this and... I loved it. I had issues with it (though none of them were Ade Edmondson :o  ) almost from the off (the comedy bits) and elsewhere (the ponderous and boring af bombardment of the Rebel fleet and the connected casino side quest), but I mostly loved it. Heck, one of the comedy scenes even drew a legit lol from me! (The iron.)

The iron was amazing, best laugh of the movie by far. The opening's funnies were alright too, albeit a bit overplayed. I think that they could happily be trimmed down a bit in the future re-releases, make way for some of the more worthwhile deleted scenes to get put back in.
