So far I have planned:

Jedi Knight - Sickeningly goody-two-shoes (Lawful Good)
Smuggler - Fairly selfish and all about the cash money, but prone to bouts of heroism (Chaotic Neutral/Chaotic Good)
Trooper - not sure yet (Neutral Good)

Sith Inquisitor - Unrelenting twat, would slaughter own family for more power (Chaotic Evil)
Bounty Hunter - All about cash money (Chaotic Neutral)
Imperial Agent - Loyal to the Empire and does what's needed to get the job done. (Lawful/Chaotic Neutral)

Why pre-plan? Just make the choice when you get there.

I've made them all - can't remember names - but those are their "starting personalities", but it's entirely possible that they may change depending on what happens etc - don't forget McFalserton, I'm a long-term D&D player, character building and alignment stuff is hard-wired :shifty:

Well, you still need to buy the game and such. But I thinks it's about 20gb? I'll be able to give you an exact amount tomorrow, but I think about 20.
But there's no subscription required to play.

Yeah, that was a massive bugbear for me. A MMO should not sell the base game if it's getting a sub, it should be free.

I dont know why, but that sounds strawberry floating incredible.

Yep. I paid for a few months, but the end game content wasnt worth sticking around for, or well paying for.
With it being free, I'll definitely pop back onto it for a little bit and I won't feel bad about just dropping it again.
Oh and light sabres

I've reinstalled ready for FTP too. I wasn't going to keep paying but there is enough fun there to give it a go again now.

I (and others I've spoken to) have noticed that since some server mergers a little while back performance has taken a nose-dive even. Previously even when in an area with plenty of people the game ran smoothly but now it seems to struggle.

Typical SWTOR.

The more things change, the more they stay the same.

It's up :fp: They really don't want FTP players to have any fun at all! I expect ill last a few days.

I'm out already.
The restrictions are strawberry floating mental, If Bioware thought that this would bring more players in they have to have a long look at them selves. :fp:

What kind of restrictions are there on F2P that make it so bad?

by way of example, let me tender the following.

Free to Play players MAY NOT.SPRINT. And that's just the shallow end of a restriction pool that takes in pretty much anything that you may class as "gameplay" is restricted in some fashion, apparently up to and including "respawning from death".

Usually in a manner that requires real money to circumvent.

This is obviously some bold new definition of "free to play" of which.I was previously unaware.
