I did the exact same thing with a woman who just argued with everyone, used her to do crazy stuff like taking out blood plague’s and infestation thinking if she died it’s no big deal and just like you she’s my best character now cos she’s upgraded so much! :fp:

Fair play playing this on harder levels. I’m playing purely on the easiest settings just to get me into it! :slol:

I’ve just moved onto a 2nd map and got a huge base I’m just sorting out what to build in it. Looking forward to exploring this one which has double the plague hearts of the first map!

Normal difficulty isn’t that hard at all, at start it may be but you do hit a level where it’s like The Walking Dead in which you head out for resources and it’s easy. Whistling mines are a must for plague hearts/infestations.

State of Decay 2 Returns to Trumbull Valley in the Homecoming Update

Trumbull Valley: where it all began. The original map of the first State of Decay game is coming to State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition as a fully remastered, open-world playable map on Wednesday, September 1, in the Homecoming update.

From the early days of the outbreak in the original State of Decay, to the plague walls in State of Decay 2: Heartland, Trumbull Valley reflects the evolution of our zombie apocalypse. In this new version of the iconic map, players will learn about the latest developments in this area, discovering new characters and storylines and resolving long-running plot threads.

Players can also look forward to six new bases, as well as unique weapons and outfits that can only be found in Trumbull Valley. New missions and new achievements await those who choose to settle on this new map.

In addition, we are proud to announce that State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition has surpassed 10 million players since its launch, a major milestone reflecting the success and popularity of the ultimate survival-sim game.

The Homecoming update, launching September 1, is a feature-packed content update for all existing owners of State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition and is included with Xbox Game Pass.

Update 29 out now - https://www.stateofdecay.com/update-29-fields-of-view/

Update 29 (Fields of View)

We’ve given our three original maps a graphical overhaul! Drucker County, Meagher Valley, and Cascade Hills all look better than ever.

The arid landscape of Drucker County is even more unique. Featuring red rocks, a dusty-yet-clear sky, and drier climate.

Meagher Valley received new distant vistas, fresh terrain painting, and foliage updates. Look for deciduous trees along the river valley!

Updated foliage, repainted terrain, and improved rocks are just the start of Cascade Hills' graphical improvements.

Players can now set their Field of View. Head to the settings menu to adjust.

Heavy weapons now destroys fences. Swing away.

… and that’s just the headliners. Keep reading to learn more about Update 29.

FOV slider is a massive improvement in this. It’s running better than ever also. Just feels polished, like Pyschonauts 2.

Had a quick go of this last night and unless I've forgotten, it seems to have a big visual upgrade both in terms of the world and the actual character. (more than update 29 above).

They also have a new Zombie system. A plague Zombie house will send out hordes to over take houses on the map, they keep getting close to your base, if they take enough around your base you end up in Siege situation. Overrun houses can be dealt with and you can send out people to deal with them, they will have far more 'special' Z's but on the flip side, if you only kill the screamers you get the house back.

I get the impression they implementing these things into SoD2 and playtesting these systems for SoD3 but this is a pretty strawberry floating cool implementation years on from release.
