Post here to organise any games, talk about the latest updates and have a good old chinwag with the other community members. If you're not in the group already, the groups public which allows you to join. Just sign your name down and i'll add you into the list.

If you have any good servers for any of the above games, please list them down and i'll add them onto the index.

Fishy, feel free to kill me.

Gentlemen.

Stick me on that list.

Added, same as me, I don't have Day of Defeat. Anyone got it want to give a verdict? I wouldn't mind checking it out at some point.

Crap, I didn't see this thread :P.

I have made a PC gaming thread in the GGC, which will also have a list of steam users, as well as xfire and any other programmes people tell me about. That's if you don't mind of course?

Day of Defeat: Source is more fun than Counter-Strike: Source but less fun than Team Fortress 2. I hope this helps.

My steam community id is 'karlprof', and I go by the name 'k^2 Karlse'.

Why would I mind? There's always been a PC Thread, What games do you play anyway?

I thought you seemed a bit inactive in the group over the past month or so. Hope you don't mind me making the thread, hopefully i'll be able to keep this updated. May aswell post any news about those games in here aswell, patch notes and the like.

Interested in Team Fortress 2? Well, now's your chance to play with Steam offering a free weekend of playtime for everyone. This is a great chance to really try out the game and if you haven't got it already, will give you an insight as to whether you want to buy it or not.

CVG wrote:Valve has opened the floodgates on its largest update ever for Team Fortress 2, which the studio points out recently topped PC Gamer UK's Top 100 list.

The Heavy update will be slowly revealed here, where the site will reveal new info and post new screens each day. There'll also be a special instalment of the "Meet the Team" series of video clips.

"The Heavy update is the largest update to Team Fortress 2 since it was first released as part of The Orange Box last October," says Valve. "In addition to offering new unlockable weapons, achievements, The Heavy update also includes a brand new gameplay mode and a number of new maps. The rollout culminates next Tuesday, August 19 when the update will be made available to all owners of Team Fortress 2."

If you've yet to take the plunge Valve will be running a Team Fortress 2 Free Weekend via Steam.

Open to all the Free Weekend is scheduled to begin August 22.

Bloody hell, they finally sourced Zombie Panic? Awesome! Gotta give that one a go.

Will there be any scheduled games where we can all play together coming up? :o

If Froggy wants to set something on the group calander yeah!

Should be interesting. Zombie Panic is really good, but I went off of it when I found Zombie Survival on GMOD. It's possibly the best adaption of a zombie mod there is. It allows you to play as: Headcrab, Poison Headcrab, Fast Headcrab, Zombie, Fast Zombie, Wraith (Invisible while still), Chem Zombie (Explodes) and Poison Zombie (Throws headcrabs).

You get extra guns by making the kills, which is hard when the servers full, but when you get used to it, it's awsome.

Steam ID: paniic9691

I've got some good Multiplay and Jolt servers to get but don't have the IP just now. Will get them next time I load up.

Just now I've been playing WoW. I would love if we could get some zombie master or zombie panic source on the go though.

MEET THE SANDVICH.

Image

The Sandvich is the Heavy’s first unlockable. It tastes as good as it looks and heals 120 health. Like in real life, the decision to eat a Sandvich must not be taken lightly; The Heavy is completely vulnerable during the four second eating process, and his loud, happy sounds of vigorous chewing will draw enemies like tiny ant cowards to a picnic. OF DEATH. On the bright side, the Heavy’s Sandvich supply is unlimited, so his only real concern is being caught short while enjoying this delicious edible device. The Sandvich is a great tool for a Heavy defending an area, as it gives him the ability to replenish health between enemy waves without having to abandon his post. Similarly, an offensive Heavy without a Medic can step back from the front line and grab a quick snack before resuming his rampage. Beware, however: the Heavy must set aside his shotgun to take the Sandvich, and enemy Snipers are much more dangerous for a Heavy wielding only a minigun.

Just awsome, Valve are great at these updates.

Been playing Arena Mode for a few hours. There seems to be a lot of problems with this patch, especially crashes. Arena mode and Backwater is AMAZING.

Just gave same of the new content a go, I'm really enjoying the new arena mode. I noticed there's a new mini-gun for the Heavy, is there any difference in power? All I can see is it makes a louder noise!

Natascha

100% Chance to slow target on hit.
-25% Damage done.

It's great for trapping people infront of sentry guns.

It's also great at ruining demo jumps. :(
