The SteamVR controllers will most likely ship with every Vive HMD and the vast majority of devs will use them, but Valve would not shut the door on games that are better suited to a regular controller or a steering wheel or flightstick by making the controllers mandatory. That's just absurd.

Now that the dev kits are in developers' hands we'll start seeing way more videos like this one:

I can dig it. I doubt I will ever use them but you never know.

Hover Junkers:

I don't think this game looks particularly interesting, but there's some cool ideas going into it (especially the gun reloading) and seeing the in-game footage and the GoPro footage side by side is really neat.

Cloudhead Games's The Gallery's locomotion/teleport system. Really interesting stuff:

Valve are set to host demos of two new videogame titles for the HTC Vive at PAX Prime, Seattle, this weekend.

2 comes right before 3.

Holy gooseberry fool. Can't wait to get my hands on the Vive and Tiltbrush. It's going to be so awesome to watch creations like this one come to life in front of your eyes, to say nothing of attempting to create something like it yourself!

Glen Keane (yes, the Disney animator who worked on The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Beauty & the Beast and others) works his magic in Tiltbrush:

The Orange Cube is coming.

Should I complete Half Life 2 before playing Half Life 3?

The concept art from like 6 years ago seems to imply it's a direct continuation from Episode 2, so yes.

Maybe the whole thing was just Gordon playing an unfinished VR game during his lunch break at Black Mesa.

If you're not interested in VR then could you please find another thread to indulge in your Half-Life 3 fantasies instead of constantly derailing this one.
