Good recovery. Amstel is pretty rotten stuff though.

I only tried it the other week and found it to be an enjoyable pint. It was rather standard fare but it was something I could take my time with. Need to get a few bottles of it to make sure it's how I remember, though. I was fairly drunk when I went on it. Efes is brilliant because, to me, it tastes like you're actually drinking beer, if you know what I mean. It tastes lovely and it's something to savour, at the risk of sounding snobby. It's not like your typical draught lagers that you just neck without even thinking of what it's like or even if it's that nice.

If we start talking about drinks to down as quick as possible to get on the dancefloor, I'll either go for a Corona and lime or a vodka and lemonade or JD and coke. Corona's a funny one though - even without a lime - because it can taste awful if you have it after a cider or a short.

Has anyone one mentioned American beers yet? Not yer filth water like miller or bud, but Sierra Nevada and Sam Adams. Very expensive but worth every penny.

It reflects my permanent "miserable bastard" state.
