Not surprising, there's a tonne of Budweiser advertising in movies, every American bar scene is plastered with the logo.

It's part of, for better or worst, the growing Americanisation of our culture.

Their adverts are always memorable too.

aka most people

Is there a more full list of most popular beers? Fosters, Bud and Stella are probably the three big ones that I avoid (unless they're free).

I normally main corona, but if I'm bulk buying cans I'll go with Carlsberg.

A lot of the time though I buy a handful of ales or ciders from the four for a fiver or similar and go for two I know I like and two I've not had before.

Depressing list, but then the most popular things are seldom the best.

If people like Stella then fine, but I do agree that people should try to be a bit more adventurous in their choices at least once in a while!

You don’t venture into town much then? Bristol has been taken over by craft beer venues. It’s only the Apple still flying the cider flag.

I don’t really have a ‘go to’ beer brand. It depends where I am and what’s on offer. At sporting events for example you rarely have much, if any, choice.

When eating I do try and pair it off with the correct beer. So if I’m having an Indian it’ll be Cobra, Italian Peroni. Marks and Spencer’s always put food choices on the back of their bottles.

I know what I avoid though: Carling and Fosters.

I like Rioja wine.

I mostly only buy that kind of red as I know what I like.

However I do sometimes buy something from the Bordeaux region, but given the choice I'd probably stick with Rioja.

There are only 2 types of red wine - good, and better.

Red wine :datass:

I remember when Carling was practically the default back in the late 90s/early 00s, the worst larger.

Harp or Tennant's are equally as vile. Tennents is strawberry floating disgusting gooseberry fool.

Franziskaner from the pump was the gooseberry fool. Nowhere does it now, and the bottles don't taste the same.

I shall have to try this Leffe. I think I've seen it in Sainsbury's - does it have gold foil at the top?

This is ridiculous, I really don't understand how and why people just drink one beer and always drink that, I mean aside from the fact these beers suck its just stupid, I mean its like going "hey I like ham sandwiches, I'm going to only ever eat ham sandwiches as I know I like ham sandwiches".

How can you live your life drinking the same flavour every single time you have a beer is just dull and shows a massive lack of imagination.

I love my craft beer and this isn't a "OMG THIS IS ALL PISS" thing, I just don't understand how someone can have the same thing over and over and not walk into a bar and think hmmm what shall I have, I havn't had that beer I'll go for that.

Confuses the gooseberry fool out of me. There are so many good beers both craft and macro there is just no need to go for the ham sandwich every time!

That’s just ignorant, you can use different types of bread or mayonnaise or jazz it up with a tomato.

I like wheat beers like Hoegaarden, Leffe Blonde, Franziskaner, Blue Moon etc.

If I'm buying larger, I like Innis & Gunn, Staropramen. Bought some Heverlee recently, and liked that.

It's like drinking a beer that someone has poured a shot in. How you could drink more than 2 or 3 I don't know.

Leffe Blonde is delicious.

Heverlee is everywhere over here. It's not bad, but it gives me the worst hangovers for some reason. I had it a few weeks ago and I felt like I'd been attacked the next morning.
