Really excellent read this.

My DS Lite is pink. There was so much demand earlier this year that they couldn't be had for bribes, sexual favours or worse. Unless you accepted girly pink. The moment you open it, you are taken back to the old Game & Watch days but can see why the DS has succeeded so well with the middle class, the middle-aged and the Hello Kitty/My Little Strawberry Shortcake Pony set. You set up in a twinkle and then play on two screens, one of which accepts stylus input and touches.

Stephen Fry is one of my favourite famous people in the world. Very knowledgeable, and very funny.

Stephen Fry looks like David from Shaun of the Dead.

The fact that Nintendo were struggling a few years ago and that they were surely on their way out must be one of the most widely believed misconceptions in the gaming industry.

It's perfect contender for a question in Q.I.'s. General Ignorance round.

Wow, that sounds like Fry's genuine opinion, and for free too, they shouldn't have wasted all that money on Kidman.

What gave it away?

The fact that he owns a pink DS or the fact that this was reported ages ago by the press after his infamous disappearance.

Well it was meant to be a joke, as in when people say things are gay?

Never mind, nobody got it. Wasn't very good anyway.

He's talking about the Wii next week, too.

It's clearly a preemptive article. The Sun was probably about to "out" him.

Should be a good read.

The thing that grabbed me about the article is that it's written by someone in the new market that Nintendo have been aiming for rather than the usual "Wii has deserted the hardcore and has no games lulz".

I find it amazing that Mr Fry has the time for his gadget fascinations/fetishes - but he clearly does. He's long been a Mac evangelist, and known for it, but to find he has more than a passing acquaintance with video game systems is quite a revelation. Is there no end to this man's interests?

I've been to a fair few radio recordings at the BBC studios here in London and seen him do his stuff live in front of an audience. He's the total professional and enjoys a friendly rapport/banter with the audience between takes. Everyone seems to love him.

Top man!

Considering he and Douglas Adams were the first two people in the country to own Apple Macintoshes, I don't find it surprising in the least.
