The PVR, & in particular Sky+, should have been much higher than 57. Would have been my personal number 2. Right behind the TV.

1. It was a natural evolution from the VCR. Plus unlike cassette all the components were already existing technology.

2. It's not as personal as the VCR, everyone in the house can view your recordings, you can't eject and hide recordings.

I reckon it'll be Mobile Phone's at number 1.

The iPhone and iPod will be shown at one point, but they'll be under mobile phones and mp3 players. Similarly, Mac's will be under PC's. There's no brand loyalty in this so far.

Fake edit: Dammit, the Walkman just proved me wrong. Ok, iPod's might be shown, but I still reckon the iPhone will be under mobile phones.

I should think mobiles and smartphones will be listed separately.

There's not even going to be a smartphone tag it seems. Blackberry is up separately.

iPhone in top 10 confirmed ;)

As Mr Gadget Show said, it changed the demographic of what a gamer is. Makes sense I guess.

Edit: Still, not exactly a life changing/simplifying 'thing' is it

I just had a thought.
Has he said anything about Big Track yet as it's a scandal if that's not in the top 10.

Clever advertising isn't a gadget though.

They've had remote control cars and programmable mowers/vacuums so I guess that might have covered it.

I bet he has iPad as #1, even though it is nothing more than a variation of the computer, as is iPhone.
