Alright, you see how you're doing a wake-up DP every time you get knocked down? That's really easy to read, and puts you at a massive frame disadvantage, so it's super easy to punish. You want to mix it up a little. Make me work for it. And don't just rush all the time, because it's easy for me to just block until I see an opening. Maybe sit back and play with a little more range. That's good. Now see the way I'm jumping in and smacking you? That should be easy for you to counter because you have a great anti-air. Okay, so you got KO'd, but don't worry, it's actually not over yet. If you hit the PS button, then Options, then Quit Game, it's like it never happened. You need to be quick, though. Make sure to get it done before any data goes back to the server. Great job. You'll be gold rank in no time.

Is anyone else's PC version just straight up broken?

Image

Nothing is seemingly downloading and it's completely unresponsive. Re-installing etc doesn't work. :|

EDIT - I think it's because it would only recognise my stick. :fp:

Have now discovered that Alex and Guile I thought I got from the free updates are locked out for me! :|

Alex and Guile were free for a limited period, basically while they sorted the in game shop out, so you have to buy them now

Capcom have made a great game but for some reason are trying to make it bomb, the DLC prices are utterly ridiculous, £8.99 for the pro tour stage, each costume is around over £3. I purchased the season pass and I am fine with that, but they really are milking it far too much.

The colour unlocks in 4 were perfect why did they have to change it? In this they are utterly horrific, Survival mode is not at all fun. The fact that even after spending £3 on a costume unlock you do not get all the colours, you have to do Survival to unlock it all :fp: Even if they let you buy the colours in the shop it is still a rip off.

There is still plenty to add to this, and I really hope they do a simple arcade mode is needed for beginners, improved online is needed for everyone, the daily Fight Money tasks need to make an appearance, especially as now there is actually quite a lot of stuff in the online shop to buy with it.

Really love the game, and I can see myself loving it more than 4 which overtook Tekken 3 for my favourite fighting game ever, they just need to stop being dicks.

So no I will not buy any costumes or that pro tour stage, but I will most likely buy a Season 2 pass. Just so strawberry floating annoyed with Capcom as they did the hard bit, and have done their best to strawberry float it all up

Wait, Alex and Guile were timed use, trial characters? I thought if you had them from their respective updates (as I did) you had them forever!

As much as I like the core game, I hate how Capcom has treated its customers like chumps.

They explained what was happening every single time you opened the game. They were very honest and open about it.

If you were confused it was your own fault. Don't Blame capcom for that.

And you can unlock then for free if you really want to play as them. Theyre not for me so I haven't bothered.

I genuinely took "Alex free until the store is working" by way of an apology for a terrible, terrible launch as meaning the character was free to claim for anyone who currently owned the game.

Sure, I've misunderstood that, and Capcom can do whatever they like, but I don't think it's unfair to suggest their DLC practices and botched launch shouldn't leave a sour taste.

That's a great price! Every one who's been on the fence should pick it up. Well worth the money now.

Loads of changes since August, worth noting all S1 characters are out, a load of new stages have been added. Weekly fight money challenges have been added

20th December will see Akuma join the cast as the first season 2 character, the other 5 will all be new to the SF universe

Stage also looks fantastic

Also the holiday costumes will also go live that day:

Full list of changes will be released later today, looks like R. Mika has been nerfed into the ground  Probably deserved, probably, but what has been said on twitter seems ridiculously harsh to me as a Mika player

She had one big nerf, but it is such a big nerf that it'll hurt. The Irish Whip only works in the corner now.

Anyone tried out Akuma yet then?

I tried getting back into this after like, 8 months away from it, but I just can't.

It feels really digital compared to other multiplayer games. The same situations come up multiple times a match and it just becomes a case of rock paper scissors.
