strawberry float this game and it's gooseberry fool matchmaking with people who have gooseberry fool connections. What's the point of picking 'Connection Status 5 Only' when it pairs you up with someone who has a 1-2 bar connection and magically teleports around the stage and you can't even land a hit on him :dread:

This got to be one of the most ill-thought-out characters I've seen in a long time. Who thought this would be acceptable?

I watched a bit of his demo session on Twitch WSO last night, he looks really good fun, it is hilarious how big he is, I prefer his design to Birdie though so there is that, oh and I prefer both of their designs to Rufus :fp:

That said I also watched the top 8 of Evo, and that was an amazing showing, really fantastic showcase, totally worth the watch.

Okay Season 2 is about to come to a close tomorrow with Zeku

I have to say the level of detail in the season 2 characters shows a huge improvement over the season 1 ones, the one thing that appeared rushed in Season 1 was the critical arts, and this time round they all look fantastic.

Which brings us to Arcade Edition:

It is essentially a GotY edition and soft reboot, so it has all DLC and a lower price point. The good news is all the non-character stuff is free to everyone as well so there is no player base split. It does look like the game they should have released, hopefully there will be a lot more to be announced.

Personally I am hoping for new V-Skills, and more characters outside the Season 3 character pass. Sagat is heavily rumoured to be joining the cast, like I say I hope it is part of Arcade Edition rather than Season 3 ones.

So all the DLC will be free for existing owners? It's good for me (as someone who bought the base game then never played it :slol: ) but what about the people who bought DLC, won't they be pissed off?

Everyone gets the new modes and features

You still have to buy everything else (characters, costumes etc) though I believe you get all of the current characters if you buy arcade edition

Yeah the new Arcade edition will have all the season 1 & 2 characters in it. You would hope they will slash the price of the Season 1 & 2 DLC packs when it launches for those that bought in day 1. Though they are still earnable with in game currency, which I do have quite a lot of as I paid for the character packs. I have picked up every stage, of which there are bloodly loads now

Well since no one else is mentioning it, last weekend was the Capcom Cup, and it was a really strong tournament Mena RD taking it, not bad for an 18 year old from the Dominican Republic winning $250,000

My favourite match though was Daigo Vs Nemo, what a fantastic set

Of course with the end of the season we had all the announcements for Season 3:

Plus the new opening cinematic for Arcade Edition:

Really happy they have announced all the characters for Season 3 this time out and given up with the silhouettes. Solid looking cast too

Also if you order the Season 3 pass in January, there are 9 additional costumes you get, all the 30th anniversary costumes (Guile, Karin, Bison, Ibuki) and Nostalgia costumes for (Alex, Ibuki, Juri, Akuma, and Kolin)

One final note Season 3 is not included with Arcade Edition, as I am sure some will ask. But getting enough fight money with all the content in AE should be really, really easy

SF5 was the thing that finally made me get a PS4 - but sat here now it's hard to get motivated for Season 3. Being a limited player, who struggles with new characters and having fallen deep in to Tekken 7, SF5 just feels a little limited. Maybe it'll hook me in the new year.

That's weird, I always felt like Tekken was kinda limited in comparison to street fighter. It's still obviously quite complex, but generally speaking a lot of the characters play very similarly just with different animations/button combinations.

What I mean is you don't quite get the variety Street Fighter has. For example Abigail and Dhalsim play completely differently to everyone else in the game. Just to name a couple.

Anyways I'm looking forward to Season 3, Sakura has been my main in every game she has been in and I'm getting a bit tired of having very little control over my matches in overwatch. So I think it will be a good time to start playing again, especially since they seem to have fixed almost everything that was so strawberry floated up at launch.

Well it is a free upgrade, so I think most people who post here already own it. I also I believe the new AE Package on PS4 has been delayed a few days. Steam version should be live today

Servers are due to go online at 8pm, now the last few maintenance's they have actually gone live early, I think it will be a race when I get home tonight as to if the servers go live before I finish downloading the update. (Apparently it is 14GB less than the 21GB advertised)

So the Arcade Edition comes with everything, including all DLC characters, up to this point?

Well not Sakura she is part of Season 3, but she is free to test this week. Oh and all the extra stages are not part of AE.

Been playing it, I swear it looks loads better on my PC, feels smoother too. There is an absolute ton to do single player now too

Hmm....Might have to re-install this now. How much are the Season 2 characters going for these days?

This is the first time I've played SF V and I'm enjoying it, very much so. Lots of modes to choose from with several variations of Arcade mode spanning from Street Fighter 1 to this one, challenges, vs as well as artwork etc. Definitely the game it perhaps should have been on its original launch.

However, those with poor connections might be a bit pissed to know that the Arcade Edition comes with a pretty hefty update (about 14GB).

Got a few good ranked games in, even managed a couple of perfects, although as KjGarly says above it does sometimes match you up with a 1-2 connection when you have it set at 5. Played someone using Ryu and they were teleporting all over the screen. Unsurprisingly I lost that bout.
