I'd argue that if you don't have some exclusives, you don't have a competitive market. They are neccessary, and benefit gamers in that it pushes the creators to make better franchises.

I'd argue that if you don't have some exclusives, you don't have a competitive market. They are neccessary, and benefit gamers in that it pushes the creators to make better franchises.

Console exclusives are fine. Moneyhatting timed exclusives are bullshit.

As hyped as I am for a new Street Fighter, this is bullshit for anyone with an X1. I honestly don't mind exclusives like Bloodborne or Sunset Overdrive as they are funded by the platform holder, third party ones like these are strawberry floating ridiculous.

I really doubt that this game wouldn't have been made without Sony's money. The same goes for most other exclusive titles from studios not owned by platform holders.

Thing is though, not actually a PS4 exclusive. Someone had money for a PC version.

I'd imagine six months later we'll get Super Street Fighter V on PS4/PC/X1.

Not as bad as the Tomb Raider shambles as the game is still on PC, it isn't an outright denial. But after last gen I thought all this was dying down. MS fought to get third party parity and then they had to try and get it in their favour :fp:

I'm surprised this many people are upset. This genre has never interested me but I thought it only had a very small following. I was wrong.

Wasn't the Tomb Raider game previously announced for other platforms though before being bought up? I thought that's what people had a problem with there.

I hope all the tourneys stick to using PCs, as for a while they were flitting between consoles and it's not fair on players who say, own a 360 stick or a PS3 stick when Evo has a change of heart and decides to change the console they're going to be using. I've got a 360 Fightstick which doesn't work on any Playstation and doesn't work on XBO, either. The only thing keeping it from being worthless is PC.

Third party exclusives suck.

Same could be said about a version of SFIV appearing on every console bar the Vita which was gooseberry fool.

It's a new StreetFighter game. If Capcom were really that broke that they couldn't afford to make a new StreetFighter then surely the smart decision would be to buy the company and own all their potentially valuable IPs?
