Just a little bump, Awesome Games Done Quick (AGDQ) 2016 starts 3rd January (Sunday) and here is the schedule:

Resident Evil HD Remaster (Carcinogen is a great runner)
Metroid Fusion and Prime
The Ninja Gaiden block
Donkey Kong Country block
Super Mario Maker races (these should be amazing)
Super Mario World (the skill on display in speedrunning this game is unreal, most levels are completed facing backwards!)
Starfox 64 (again the skill level is mental)
Banjo Kazooie
Bloodborne (because it's new)
Diddy Kong Racing dual race

And probably whatever is reccommended to watch from this and the GAF thread. Goona be a great week.

I might watch some other stuff, but when they get to the 4hr+ runs of Chrono trigger etc that I tune out. There is one guy - Caveman DCJ or something - who plays all the really gooseberry fool games who is kind of amusing and was involved in the best moment of cringe ever:

What makes it even funnier was that last year that Chibi guy was caught using cheat devices to assist with his own speed runs. There is a skip you can do in Paper Mario 2 to get across a large gap, he couldn't do the trick so he used a hover cheat to make it look like he could do the trick.

They need to do a UKADGQ so the games I want to watch aren't on after 1am.

We should try to do our own version during Sick Kids Save Point this year.

This setup isn't as lovably ghetto as usual. They sold out.

Is Splatoon worth it for just the single player? This is kinda selling it to me, looks a lot of fun. I just have no interest in playing it online.

Depends how cheap you can get it for. SP is very fun but you'll blast through it in no time.

The way these guys just bounce through Monkey Ball levels in about 3 seconds is amazing.
