Played an hour or two and it's really quite good.

My only worry is longevity. I don't think there is the same scope for variety in this as there is in Mario Maker, where you have so many different styles.
Hopefully we'll see more enemies, items and dungeon styles added.

Probably some stuff on their website. There's a link in the 1st post.

It's getting a Switch release next week so it's not far off 1.0 I would think.

They are continuing to add things though from what I can tell.

Yeah that was one of my concerns from the trailer - how much variety is there in terms of assets and themes. You'd hope that it would be the kind of thing they build on and expand over time.

But then again I guess often it's limitations that force creativity out of people so I'm sure we'll still see some impressive stuff.

Either way £15 seems like a steal so I think I'm going to take the plunge regardless

I'm conflicted about this! I'm hesitant to jump straight in as I got my fingers burnt with Game Builder Garage (due to my expectations and the - excellent! - high level of complexity rather than the utility itself) but this does seem a little more approachable. Right now I'm thinking that I'd like to try it... but we'll see.

It does look like it could be a lot of fun, Fisher - both creating dungeons and trying out those that others have made. If I get into it, I'd imagine that I would enjoy making a lot of levels :-).

Nintendo Life think there could be potential with the game... but, right now, assessed it as [5].

Super Dungeon Maker has a lot of potential and perhaps with time it’ll become something great. For now, it feels like an egg that still needs significantly more time to incubate before it can hatch. Intuitive creator controls, an endless well of community-crafted content, and charming visuals are all big positives here, but the lack of any overarching progression, no touchscreen controls, and it feeling generally unfinished really hold this one back from being anything exceptional. If you have faith that the developers will eventually realize the full scope of their vision, then we’d certainly encourage you to crack this one open, but those who are more wary of early-access titles will want to wait and see. Super Dungeon Maker is just an average experience for now — here’s hoping that it eventually delivers on its promise.

Progression doesn't really bother me, but the fact it has no touch screen controls is a bit of a fail.

I was waiting to see what more reviews said before picking between Switch and PC, might just plump for the PC version at this rate!

Super Dungeon Maker is launching with an incredible set of tools available not only for players but for creators. A player can jump into any number of rated worlds to explore 2D dungeons to their heart's content being offered to rate and move to the next dungeon on a whim. During my time I've already had a blast exploring others' levels and while I'm not much of a creator myself the time spent in the editor hasn't been frustrating at all which is a big compliment to the editor features.

jawa i buy the game on switch today at 3:40pm did make some dungeons and enjoy it and sure it will updates for it.
