Could it be... Mario Maker for Zelda dungeons? The graphics look neat and hopefully it's gonna hit that same Maker-style balance of complexity and fun. Checking out dungeons that other GRcadians have built could be very cool indeed!

I'm getting tired of games where you have to do all the work yourself. Its very stressful and highlights my lack of creativity. Plus by and large the general public are not nearly as good at level or game design as they think.

It's an interesting point, kaz... I think the answer varies for everyone. Mario Maker? Loved it! Just the right balance of depth and ease-of-use. Game Builder Garage? So disappointing; far too complex.

But... of course, that's just my tastes. I can see that Garage offered far more potential and depth - but the time and learning processes were too much for me personally at that time.

I'm hoping that Dungeon Maker veers more towards Mario Maker. I think it is a wee bit more complex, though!

PC version is already available in early access for £15.

Picked it up so I'll give it a blast later on I think.

Looks really interesting, very tempted to give this a go!

Wonder how much you can theme things, I don't hate the chicken character exactly, but it would be a lot more appealing with legit Zelda art in there (sure the modders will be all over it on PC!)

S'alright so far.

Feels like LA mixed with ALTTP.

It's barely hiding the fact it's ripping them off. One of the built in dungeons is just a remake of Misery Mire from ALTTP. :lol:

Also loads of enemies that are "inspired" by it.

Good fun though.

How are you playing it Devlin? Feels like it might be a good one for playing on the Steam Deck - portable dungeon design :datass:

Only on my desktop so far, but it's very controller optimised.

Gonna try my deck just now.

Not sure yet. Not done much beyond the initial tutorial dungeon yet but I do like playing more than making in general.

Yeah this is pretty good actually. The making side of it is good, though I'm still figuring out how to set up triggers, enemies and switches.

But if you want lots of dungeons that feel like Links Awakening I think this is going to be fun.
