Quoted for new page. If I'm going to shamelessly plug an old review I'm going to shamelessly double post too.

I describe Skyward Sword as the Uncharted of Zelda, which is fitting when it came out two weeks after Uncharted 3. It's a linear action-adventure game. I really like it for it, and I can understand why many people don't. It's not a bad game, it's just not the game many people wanted it to be.

It's the only Zelda I've not played to completion my first time around, and since I did finally push through it I've no particular desire to ever go back to it. It's still a good game and I don't hate it, but it's easily the worst of the 3D Zeldas and personally I found it a much bigger disappointment than Other M.

I also didn't play it to completion the first time through, I don't know if I was distracted by other games, or if it just didn't click. When I decided to give it another go it did. The start may be pretty slow, but when I was in the bulk of the game I felt it mostly did it better than all Zeldas before it, and then the conclusion of the game is just epic.

I think I finished SS about 2 years after starting it, it didn't grab me like any other Zelda.

I don't know why, but I've got a feeling suffocate peon might not agree with you on that one

I'm currently composing a 2,000 word post entitled "Where Suffocate Peon Went Wrong"

I think it's this bit

Suffocate Peon wrote:Have a course inside a monster's intestines that you race around infinitely until you all fire at each other enough you pierce open his skin and continue the race outside, except it's not a monster, and the outside is the operating table of an operating room, and Luigi is giving Mario his kidney.

Pft, like you wouldn't want to race that track.
