Given Metroid Prime wasn't made by Nintendo it made the list.

What this list tells us is that Breath of the Wild really is an all time classic crafted out of sheer Nintendo brilliance at the sacrifice of their output for an entire console generation, while Mario Odyssey will quickly fall to it's rightful place into the dustbin of half arsed Nintendo garbage once the post release buzz is well and truly over.

Also Skyward Sword fans really are spectacularly deluded.

Also apparently people need to replay Paper Mario TTYD.

I enjoy these descents into the lunacy of this place and I get more fodder for the Ignore function in the form of two strawberry floating spanners who for some reason think Splatoon 2 is one of the top 10 Nintendo games of all time :lol: And one for the Friend function for the hero that voted for Excitebike 64 :datass:

Skyward Sword is a lovely looking game, and for me I had no problems with the controls, but it's not that good. It's areas to #explore' aren't very good, the skyloft area (that just what the sky is called?) is gooseberry fool. It's a decent game but that's about it. Compare it to pretty much any other Zelda and it doesn't hold a candle to them.

That's because it's a different kind of game, and it's not about exploration.

I describe Skyward Sword as the Uncharted of Zelda, which is fitting when it came out two weeks after Uncharted 3. It's a linear action-adventure game. I really like it for it, and I can understand why many people don't. It's not a bad game, it's just not the game many people wanted it to be.

Twilight Princess is easily the worst 3D Zelda for being the least innovative and most formulaic.

It's also the only Zelda game I have no desire to go back to because I'd have to play through the multi-hour opening again :dread:

But yes, it's still a great game.

I also didn't play it to completion the first time through, I don't know if I was distracted by other games, or if it just didn't click. When I decided to give it another go it did. The start may be pretty slow, but when I was in the bulk of the game I felt it mostly did it better than all Zeldas before it, and then the conclusion of the game is just epic.

I was hugely enjoying Skyward and I found the "sky islands" idea to be a cool setup. The bosses were a bit of a blocker for me, though, as they seemed to be quite a difficulty spike.
