Super Mario 3D World - The cat's whiskers

I remember watching a live stream of some lad playing it around the time of release. He was playing as Mario, and lost 60 odd lives to it.

Champion's Road is a piece of pish M8.

So, I've started the infamous Champion Road!

Let's just put it this way...I've probably lost over 30 live already, and I've only got as far as about the 4th segment...

This is going to be the end of me...But I will do it.

I will not be defeated by a Mario game!

I think the key is to learn the mini segments, and then string it all together...Easier said then done. :fp:

This last world is seriously beginning to tick me off.

Forget Champions Road - I've barely got anywhere on it so far, but I need to commit some time to it.

What I'm trying to do at the moment is the incredibly annoying Mystery House Marathon...what's driving me round the bend is, when you get to a tough level and fail, you have to start all over again...only to get one more chance at the tough level...I'm stuck on the one where there's a wooden wheel going round and you have to cling to it, but the baddies are going around the other way, so it's impossible. And I keep having to start over :-|

I very rarely get rage in games, but Mystery House Marathon is doing me in...It's driving me nuts.

Something I did learn today is the spin jump - never knew this was possible. And the fact you can stop a rabbit with the gamepad, and don't have to catch them.

Without knowing these 2 facts, Mystery Marathon is impossible.

I give up. I'm done with Mario 3D World.

The last 2 levels are no fun...When I start getting rage fits and hating a game, then it's time to stop.

I got my moneys worth, but the Mystery Marathon and Champions road are the end of me.

Do you know what, as I said earlier, I cannot let this defeat me!

I consider myself a Mario expert. I have 100% completed Super Mario Bros 1,2,3, World, 64, Sunshine, Galaxy 1 & 2, 3D Land, NSMB, NSMBU...if I can't do this, then no-one can.

I will try again this weekend :toot:
