I can't stop playing it, it's lovely and I really like the use of the old school Mario drawings on the character select screen and hud. The dinosaur water level is a lot of fun, especially when you all land the big jumps as a team.

Saving this one for Xmas day is going to be very hard.

This is probably my most wanted game of the year. I absolutely adored 3D Land on 3DS.

Cat Mario is so cute!

Any multiplayer options (for the full game rather than minigames)?

Yes?

The whole game supports up to 4 player co-op. Haven't heard about any mini games.

Cat Mario is a stroke of genius - an absolute gift for the advertisers. I can see this being wiiu's first hit as a result. The miaow at the end of the trailer is cuteness personified!

Why have they called it 3D? :shifty:

Trailer looks amazing, If I had a Wii U this would be on my list

PLAY | Persona 3 Reloaded [3h]
WATCH | Ted Lasso S3, HiJack S1, Red Dwarf S4, Dexter S2
RACE | Chew Valley 10k (June), GNR (Sept), Cardiff Half (Oct)

For those lucky enough to have played this: in single player mode, can you select any of the four characters at any time?

Great. Could be the first Wii U game I buy since launch!

I see the spirit of Mario Galaxy has carried over into this game. Looks wonderful.

Loved 3D Land and what I played of this a few months ago (the E3 build). Don't have a Wii U just yet, but when I do this is going on the list of must-haves.

The positive feedback here and on NeoGAF really bodes well for the Wii U. Hopefully it will see a 3DS-style turnaround in fortune. It was never going to be a good machine for 3rd party cross-platform games, but that's always been the case for Nintendo consoles. It's all about the quality 1st party games.

PC, Wii U and 3DS is my perfect gaming set up (although I still have a 360 and PS3 collecting dust).

It won't. Just enjoy the exclusives, although best enjoyed alongside a PS4 or XBO.

This looks absolutely fantastic, possibly better than 3D Land.

At the start of the demo you go from title screen to character select, in 1 player you can be anyone you want. Once you're in the game I don't think you can change character, I think you can if you join in a game already playing. Most likely will be the same as NSMBU, where you pause and do it from a menu.

Love what they've done with the world map, really nice touch.

Those screens look incredible. It looks far more like a multiplayer sequel to Galaxy now than it did at E3. Awesome stuff.

I'm concerned that the single player mode won't be as good as Mario normally is, as the focus is on multiplayer :(

Did you watch the trailer? it's pretty much all single player.
