This game's graphics! The level where the rain drizzles down the inside of the TV screen

I just realised that I'm almost at the end of the game and I've only had to use a different character from Mario twice. I wish they had put more emphasis on switching characters to reach inaccessible areas throughout the game. I also think some of the best ideas are underused, and I want a bundle of 50 Captain Toad levels released via the eShop for £4,99, please.

I finished it in three-player co-op and no-one ever played as Mario.

I thought Mario would provide the best challenge. It would have been too easy with Luigi's jumping abilities and Peach's floating. I guess Toad wouldn't be any easier?

Toad is meant to be the more challenging, I think. He's the quickest, and, as proven by the flag at the end of every level, he's crap at jumping.

I usually change into the cat suit at the flag pole so I can get to the top easily 8-)

Piranha Creeper Creek After Dark is a nightmare of a level.

I just did that one last night! If you think that's hard, the next one is even harder, Fuzzy Flood Something. Or so.

I managed to scrape my way through it but getting all the stars will be a nightmare...

We just did that one, second try, all three stars in one go and top of the flag. I am the master. :datass:

I didn't have a problem with those two. I hated the one where the platforms change every time you jump.

I'm taking back what I said about Piranha Creeper Creek After Dark. Yesterday evening I wanted to get the second green star on that level. Number of attempts before I did it in double digits and a lot of swearing. Hardest section of the game so far.

Attempting the Boss Blitz as Toad, without the invincibility suit. :dread: strawberry floatin' hard, yo. I get to the final one, and die. Every time.

Champion's Road, too. How do you do it? It's nigh impossible!

Blast Block Skyway makes me cry. The persons who designed that level probably torture puppies in their spare time.

EDIT: something funny just happened to me. I was playing as Mario (with cat power up). There was a Mii standing on the map screen called "big jake", his post was just a question mark. I went over and wanted to respond on Miiverse to find I couldn't. Went back to the game when suddenly a toad popped up. He was now the character I controlled, cat-Mario following him where he went. On the left of the screen, where you find all the information about your current character, there were two pictures, one for Toad and one for Mario. I wanted to stop playing for the moment so I saved and quit. I was curious to see whether I 'd get two characters again when I re-entered the game, this was not the case, Toad was now my character, without cat power up, I must add. Did this happen to anybody else?

I've died loads of times on Blast Block Skyway, but it remains as one of my favourite SM3DW stages. I start getting all into the rhythm of the beat and by the time I get to the huge slippery slide I'm really in my groove. 8-)

The Tanooki suit sure helps... I found I was using different strategies for different places, for example, jump when a colour appears and then hover until it re-appears.

As I mentioned earlier in the thread I managed to do it with Peach (her floating ability was a god send on some parts) after many attempts. Am now trying to do it with Mario but can't see myself ever doing it and I'm not sure if I'll ever bother! Good luck in completing it though.

Blimey, you guys are amateurs! Mind you, I've been playing and mastering Mario games for more than 20 years.
