Why are phone games judged differently to other games in relation to their price? It's something I've never understood. People will spend 40 quid on a console game that lasts 10 hours but a mobile title that potentially lasts much longer is too expensive at £8. I don't get it.

Surely its value depends on the amount (and to an extent the quality) of the content.

It may or may not be good value at £8.

Why are phone apps immediately less deserving of your money? Would you seriously pay £8 for the exact same game if it was on something like a 3DS?

Yes because you have buttons as standard.

But my point is it doesn't matter, the fact that it's on mobile means it should be cheaper regardless of the quality, length, dev time etc. Or at least that's the perception.

To be fair I'm not aware of another runner game where you can wall jump and actually navigate a level.

The Rayman runners do, if anyone hasn't checked them out I can recommend both Jungle Run and Fiesta Run.

I've not seen the Rayman games, but this does look far more involved then any other auto-runner I've seen.

I echo Hugo on the Rayman mobile games. They're absolutely brilliant.

This x 1000, anyone not convinced by the runner concept absolutely needs to check them out.

Does help that they have the gorgeous visuals of Origins/Legends. The jungle one is 10p on Android at the moment for anyone curious.

I actually did enjoy the Rayman ones but got bored towards the end

Thank you for mentioning that it was 10p on Android. I bought it when I saw your post but I only got around to playing it last night. Completing each level with all the collectables can be challenging but it makes it very enjoyable for me and the is delightful  I'm looking forward to playing more of it while I wait for Super Mario Run to make its way to Android :toot:

Warming to it. :shifty: The moves still look weird though.

I don't have an Apple device so it doesn't matter anyway.

I'm not totally convinced that I'll want to play the game... but I love this advert!

They must have spent a fortune on that. I think it looks very good tbh. Way better than their usual standard. They must sniff some money!!
