Tempting but expensive (I'm sure worth it) and the season pass thing irritates me now as I'm unsure how it fits in. Plus that is also expensive.

It has been sold at times for £30 if you keep a look out for deals.

The season pass thing has added small bits and pieces of content (new quests, blades etc) so far but nothing that dramatically impacts the main game. The main part of it will be released in September however and is a fully fledged prequel that they are also releasing as a standalone game. The DLC is shaping up to be very good value but also completely avoidable if you prefer-the main game is a good 100 hours on a standard playthrough story wise, and a ridiculous amount to 100%.

The Darker Side of the Moon for getting 500 moons :x

Get to that section with the moving wall and the hat timer and even though I've got the extra heart I still can't make it back if I get knocked off without dying and having to start the whole level again from the stupid hat boss. Chuffing awful. It's still not as bad as the endgame in 3D World with the flipping rhythm platforms but it's far from being fun. Got everything up to that point down to a fine art now, but it's so boring having to do it all again.

Ah yes. I'm outright not doing that. Done everything else in the game... outright not doing that.

That boss tower is pretty shite, too. It's not like any of them were good the first couple of times, and then you've gotta fight them in floaty bullshit moon gravity too? Most of the postgame is good, the extra moons are fun with a few exceptions, but it seems like with the last few things you need to do they just totally ran out of ideas and went for a generic "how do we make it hard" snorefest.

Its much MUCH easier then the 3D World one. But thought it was a bit dull compared to it and the Galaxy one. You can skip the mini boss at the beginning for the 6 hearts if you can do the early sections ok. The sphinx will reward you with one if you answer his questions. As for the moving wall bit I'd like to give you tips but I dont really have any because I only ever failed it on my first go. It's just wall jumping and the pattern is easy. The coins help to. The sections after are pretty easy but then the one in the new area....... :dread: Just be really careful. :dread:

I really enjoyed this actually.I thought they were all fun and meeting them again meant I discovered some extra tricks to beating them quicker. Did you know that in the fight where she turns into a UFO and drops bombs you can hit the bomb she drops straight back up so it skips the whole of that attack phase?

I just learned that :slol: Finished the tower now. Done a few of the Fruit Feast stages

Do the Moons for the artwork puzzles count for the level the artwork is in or the stage the Moon is actually found? Still not sure if I've got any of them :shifty:

Tbf that is one of the harder moons in the game (but also very rewarding).

Darker side of the moon? The part where you put Cappyon the scarecrow and wall jump up the walls?
Easy, just turn on 2 player and put Cappy on the scarecrow with Mario on the block that moves and you can skip the whole section.

Vanishing Road? Turn on the assist option.... then the P switch lasts longer...

Enjoy

basically what happened to me when I got it to

Think this level needed an easier version earlier in the game that helped you learn those moves in this context. Unless there was one and I don't remember it. :shifty:

I should clarify. A level with this concept in mind. As obviously that version wont teach you the techniques to beating this one.

Had a good afternoon on the post-game, now up to about 450 moons.

Yoshi! I froze when I stuck to the wall for the first time.

Cleared up a load of moons in the Mushroom Kingdom, then tried out Balloon World, which was surprisingly addictive. Gave a decent haul of coins too. Then went to the boss rush on the moon and lost those coins. Wanted a break so went to the first couple of kingdoms to hoover up some more moons and just explore a little more. Can't see myself going for all 999, but plenty left that I want to do.

I didn't bother maxing out the moons because I'd prefer to get those FROM THE MARIO ODYSSEY ALL STARS DLC THAT THEY SHOULD HAVE ANNOUNCED BY NOW
