Hmm not sold on Mario yet. It doesn't look like it plays much like a Mario game, although the 2D bits looked interesting. I just felt it didn't look very exciting overall.

Someone create a gif of the Easter Island Head scene from the trailer. That part cracked me up.

I have no idea how this mechanic is going to work. Can't wait to play it.

Did you even read his post?

The New Donk City stuff I'm really not sure about, looked very weird and there was a lot of blank space. I didn't really like the hat stuff either and taking over lots of abilities, it just didn't look fun, even to stomp around as a dinosaur. It was very un-Mario. But then the desert world looked absolutely superb. I'm really not sold on it, though I'm hoping the exploration side is where it will really shine.

It's like three cars playing chicken, but nobody changes course at the last minute. It all ends up as a great big clusterfudge.

It looks like Nintendo have gone and beaten everyone trying to ape the 90s 3D platformer style at their own game.

Looks sensational.

They're demoing on treehouse again.

Part of what's bothering me about this is that the platforming seems non-existent outside a few standalone puzzles.

Yes this is my slight concern to. But tbh I don't think its really any different to SM64 and Sunshine in that regard. Love the 2D retro mural parts though.
