Just to weigh in on the aesthetics debate - I've still got some doubts over the look of New Donk City but other than that everything in that latest trailer is absolutely strawberry floating gorgeous!

So excited for this one, but may keep it as a Christmas game - plenty of my fondest Mario memories are of getting the latest game at Christmas and having a blast so may go for more of the same here!

I actually love the wildly different art-styles across kingdoms - make the game much more of an adventure.

It will be very difficult for me to resist getting a Switch when this thing finally comes out.

I'm not sure about the realistically proportioned people and cars in New Donk City, they look a bit incongruous to me. Everything else looks great; colourful and charming and bursting with joie de vivre.

If you're going to post a major plot spoiler then at least have the courtesy to give people an idea of what they're opening. I assumed that was just going to be a screenshot. If this happens again I'll be thread banning the offenders.

If I was merely posting a screenshot I wouldn't have spoilered it as the only screenshots available are those officially published by Nintendo.

Don't be disingenuous. You inserted a spoiler which could be for anything, I suspect most people, like myself, clicked expecting just an innocuous screenshot. All you had to post was 'major plot spoiler'. But you didn't choose to. If you've innocently ballsed up then man up and admit it.
