Much less frustrating there plus you can just warp back right beside it to practice again and again. Try to aim for somewhere really far away and see how far you get.

Now I've got all the 'proper moons, I don't know if it's worth a grind to get to 999 or just wait for inevitable DLC to make up the numbers then.

Yeah the flying dinosaur stuff is easy enough once you realise that you just need to point him in the right direction and then leave the controls alone.

The darker side of the moon bit over the lava can be annoying because you can't control if/when those insect things are going to come at you but even there it's a case of making minor adjustments rather than anything else

I've taken a short break from this since I hit the credits. Going to dive back in over the Christmas break. Have barely touched some of the later worlds but managed to get to around 500 moons.

Just reading your spoiler as I haven't played the game yet is there any point in grinding to get the max amount of moons?

Dipped back into this today, had a glorious 6 hours where I've racked up a further 140 moons (Disclaimer: many of these were bonus moons received from Toadette).

I think if they were doing DLC they'd have said by now. I think a sequel, Galaxy 2 style, is more likely.

I for one would really appreciate a Galaxy 1+2 HD Remaster release.

How do they stack up in comparison to Odyssey?

You've not played THEM?! :o

Seriously, if you have the means to, go and play them now. Start with the first as while galaxy 2 is the better game, it builds on the first which has more of a narative.

Galaxy 2 is one of the greatest games of all time

Play now now now.

I didn't realise that you could get infinite moons from the shop, so I've been buying them thinking they would eventually stop. Oops.

I'm not usually one for remasters but I would love a Galaxy 1 and 2 one

Started this early today. It's sooooooo good. Just pure Nintendo joy. Mario has never looked cute and the cap ability is genius.

Wish my image sig would work

If they're gonna do DLC this will surely be a part of it. Fingers crossed.

It would be a bonus if you could access it by going to the Super Mario 64 castle courtyard in Mushroom Kingdom and jumping into a tiny model of the level, just like Big Boo's Haunt.

Thanks for the tip on the dragon section, breezed it after I read your advice.

Are there been any suggestion that there may be some incoming DLC?

Zero, which makes me think there won't be any. I've said this before but every Nintendo related title on the Switch has had DLC plans confirmed before release (Zelda, Mario x Rabbids, Splatoon, Arms, Xenoblade 2, Pokken) so the fact Mario hasn't makes me think they might be eyeing up a SMO2. If it's not revealed in the (likely) January Direct I think it's safe to say it's not happening.

There was about two-and-a-half years between Galaxy and Galaxy 2. If they're developing on the same model, it's possible we could see Odyssey 2 in early 2020.

Gives me a reason to struggle on for another couple of years I guess.

Indeed. There's also speculation Odyssey could have been ready earlier but got delayed due to Zelda turning into a Switch launch title and them wanting Odyssey for the Holiday window push so it's possible a lot of the team had already moved onto a sequel before the October release.
