I'm undecided what to do with this, part of me wants to save it until Christmas to play but the the other part really wants to play it straight away

3D World on the Wii U was less than 2 gigs because the cutscenes were all rendered in game. I'd imagine this game will follow a similar path and clock in at a reasonable download size.
I only noticed today that there are Mario themed comfort grips being released around the same time as Odyssey but the Mario Odyssey Switch bundle just comes with the regular comfort grip.
Boo-urns I say, boo-urns.

Apparently according to the Japanese store page for the game its going to take up 5.7GB.

Cool, that's going to be pretty manageable - download it is!

I'd have liked to save this for Christmas but it's coming out far too soon for that. It would have had to be released much closer to the big day.
Less than three weeks to go!

Just cancelled my pre-order for this off Amazon..cant see me getting time to play it over next 6/12 months. Cancelled a few other preeorders too for same reason (SWB2, Skyrim Switch, Doom Switch). At least that's £200 saved pretty much though

Yep. The first step on the road to recovery is to admit that you have a problem!

Now that is a great trailer, everything about this just seems infused with joy! Makes me think back to a bit from the videoGaiden review of Mario Galaxy back in the day:
This game doesn't feature an assassin or a space marine or a soldier... it's just about a wee fat man floating about in space having the time of his life!
That's something that Nintendo just seem to be able to absolutely nail in these games - to the core they are fun, creative, and simply a strawberry floating joy to play. So excited for this - really torn between getting it on release or waiting for Christmas!

Amazing year for the switch, Zelda and Mario both being instant classics. Splatoon 2 is also essential

It’s a shame the song ends on a bit of a whimper for trailer purposes. But that is strawberry floating brilliant.

I just don't know whether to go digital or physical for this. I like having a box, but then you have the minor hassle of having to switch cartridges. But buying a digital copy of a Mario or Zelda game doesn't feel right! I can't make up my mind.
