Have to say I agree with every point, hope we get the Mario 64 successor the preview video suggested.

Super Mario Switch.

You'll be be able to switch your character during a level as opposed to before like in 3D World. Levels will be more like 64/Galaxy than 3D Land/World.

Super Mario Switch aka Super Mario Sunshine 2 but with a Map Screen, Level Select a la Mario 3.

The Mexican looking area in the Switch snippet is actually another Pianta Village, they will remaster the first game release this first and give Super Mario Switch extra development time and release Xmas 2017.

I loved Mario 3D World, in some ways more than I loved the likes of Galaxy/64 so wouldn't be disappointed if the game ends up more like that. However, judging from the early footage it does look to have more in common with 64/Sunshine. To be honest I trust Nintendo fully on this one, don't think the Mario series has ever really taken a major misstep in terms of the main games in the series.

Super Mario Lands - Revives the old GB series as Mario travels to numerous lands with different themes.

I could see this. The hub would be an airport. And you could get random enemy encounters there....... like terrorist. :shifty:

That real-world bit just reminds me of Sonic Adventure...

Yeah, looks like there's a lot of variety, much like there was in Super Mario 64.

Looks like a real successor to Mario 64 too with exploration, more moves and varied levels. Can't wait! :)

Could potentially be the best Mario game ever.

Thought this looked brilliant (and the only good thing in the whole presentation).

Indeed

Mario Galaxy was close to perfect gameplay-wise but I missed the world feel of 64/Sunshine.

3D World was just an isometric Mario Bros.

Colour me hyped :)

The city bit looked awful (why mix in 'real' humans? It's a weird at style) but I love the thought of sandbox levels again.
