That’s the only console to have two Edge 10’s in its first year. To my knowledge.

Yeah, I’d like to get a Switch just for this game.

Subs get an exclusive cover which isn't anywhere near as good. :(

Just seen the subs cover and I think it's alright. More understated.(I preferred the European ZBOTW cover to the American one.) I'd have to see them side by side at a decent size to see which I prefer. Both good though.

Do i buy a Switch almost exclusively for this and Golf Story? Obviously there will be more games in the future that will appeal to me, but right now they are the only titles really pulling me in (Wii U owner). Actually the Mario and Rabbids game looks and sounds like a lot of fun too. So the case "for" is building.

I hadn’t realised that we are so close to release... two weeks today :o .

I don’t really know why - and I’m not trying to be an edge lord about this - but I’m not *that* hyped about the game. For no good reason I have never played that much of the Mario series of titles. Maybe the buzz will kick in as we get nearer to launch; all the previews (and the Edge review) are so positive.

Is it you that's not played Mario 64? :dread:

You're in for such a treat with this, such a special feeling playing a proper 3d Mario.

I dabbled with it but I think I have only played the opening stage; at the time I preferred Banjo-Kazooie :shifty: . Even the original NES game and then SNES’ Super Mario World only got minutes of play. The most time I have put into a Mario platformer game is for Super Mario Maker and that was solely due to Cheeky Devlin’s superb Are You A Master Mario Maker? event in GRcade. That was tremendous fun!

No real reason for this... it’s just a series that I seem to be have bypassed. I can see the attraction of the new game, though - it certainly looks lovely.

Jawa, mate, LOZ:BOTW and SMO are going to be looked back at as two of the defining games of this generation. You're doing yourself such a huge disservice not playing them properly. (I would have felt uncomfortable saying that about SMO before I've played it, but I think the EDGE 10 nails it on as a sure thing to be honest.)

I think part of the problem is that I don’t want to “miss out” on a game; I tend to think that I need to play every game in a series in order and, when I bypass a title, in my mind I build up a stack of titles that I foresee will take me years to work through. Realistically I am never going to go back and play through the Mario titles in order so perhaps I should just accept it and enjoy Odyssey.

Who knew that a gaming topic could touch upon weird mental hang-ups? Or that it would all be so easily resolved within one paragraph :o ... :toot: .
