Metro Kingdom.

Also I guarantee you that you are missing the same 2 purple coins I was missing from Metro Kingdom. 37-38 in that IGN guide.

Thanks for the KEEP heads up - I had a feeling it was Metrodue to the angularity and uniformity of shapes, I'll have a re-look.

When you guaranteed I'd missed the same coins as you I was feeling pretty confident it wasn't - I felt a little silly for having missed them when I saw mine.

But you were right! It was those. Dat Human Psychology 8-)

Yeeeeah 8-)

I only needed guidance for 3 clusters of coins in the game and that was one of them. Another was 3 in the Ice Kingdom, in the cavern where the icicles drop down into the ground, floating in the air off screen and you can only see the shadow of the coins. Can't remember the other one.

I'm on over 700 so far. I've sadly had to look on a guide a couple of times, as some of the moons are just in ridiculous places that I would never notice otherwise.

Amazing game anyway, and still a lot to do. But I think I will have a break from it now and maybe get another game.

Checking it myself, yup those were the last two I had to get as well!

Thank god they put them in clusters of 2/3/4, makes finishing them off so much less daunting

I haven't played this since the above post back on 20 January and it really turned me off the game, but tonight is the night I try again! :toot:

Any tips on the bit I'm stuck on? Or should I leave it and fly somewhere else?

Can you describe a little more about this bit as I don’t recall about spiky enemies? I can’t remember if I’ve encountered those enemies. :?

Is there any fish you can turn into so you’ll swim through easier?

Yeah can't say this is ringing a bell with me either. In all honesty I can't recall any underwater bits in the Forest Kingdom!

Yeah Preezy I'm drawing a blank. I can only recall one underwater part of the Wooded Kingdom and it isn't integral to progressing the game.

I've finally started playing this properly...after many a false start.

Just got some moons in the Desert Kingdom and moved on to Wooded.

I only have one complaint, and that the camera points down too much, so you see more of the ground than the scenery around you. Banjo Kazooie had exactly the same problem.

I found the Mario 64 camera much better.

Still an incredibly game though :toot: I laughed out aloud when Mario started dancing when standing next to a radio! :)

I've beaten Bowser and I am now on 430 Moons.

So much things to do now and I haven't gone into the Dark World yet.

Finally got past it and got that moon :toot:

That seemed to spark a real upturn in my fortunes with this, in the space of about 20 minutes I figured out how to get up to the boss battle, beat that and moved on to another world. I'd been stuck in that bloody forest level for ages  :fp:

Now in the underwater kingdom or whatever it's called, quite nice looking. I enjoy the zip mechanic, it's very satisfying :datass:

Volleyball I did in two player mode, skipping I did eventually by doing it properly until 50 jumps and then just mashing the button while looking away from the screen.

Volleyball with the two player cheese is easy, just boring.

Skipping feels impossible but if you devote a little bit of time and practice, it's not too bad. Getting to 50 is the hardest bit in my opinion as you have to adjust to the rhythm changes. Once you get to 50, if you find the right rhythm, it's not too difficult to get from there to 100.
