Went there in October. Loved it. Also went on the worlds only working Jaws ride at Universal Studios. That was a real bucket list moment. So happy.

I'll be 47 so definitely in the target market for this.
That said a proper Universal park in the UK would be amazing. Filled with Harry Potter gooseberry fool no doubt, but I can overlook that for potential Jurassic Park/Nintendo stuff.

I think they said that the plan for the UK one was for it to have stuff the others don't so I wouldn't be surprised if it doesn't have a Harry Potter area since 3 other Universal Parks have it.

Unfortunately that would likely go the same for Nintendo and Jurassic Park stuff.

No way in hell they don't put Harry Potter gooseberry fool in the UK park - the WB studio tour is already a huge draw for tourists and the park directors would be stupid to not synergise the "home of HP" with their IP.

I can easily see there not being any Nintendo stuff here though. Universal has a theme park in Osaka so I wonder if that will host a lot of Nintendo stuff eventually.

Went to USJ on Sunday, when unfortunately it was pouring down all day.

Might have been the weather, but second time in Nintendo World didn't have quite the same thrill (thought it was excellent the first time, and tied in the "gamification" aspect well - helped by the fact it was a glorious spring day).

Second time, I didn't have the same urge to collect the remaining achievements on the app, or queue up to lunch a block etc. Mario Kart is still great, but the area is short on other attractions (as Laga said, the Yoshi ride is only really good for very small children). It needs bulking out a bit.

The Donkey Kong expansion should help a lot, as it's increasing the Mario area by a great deal. The current area is actually quite dense and crowded, but makes use of its space quite well and uses verticality to mask things. Hopefully it won't be delayed and will be completed by the next time I visit.

USJ as a whole feels a bit weird - Mario and Harry Potter areas are fairly new and quite good. But some stuff like Jaws and Waterworld just feel archaic.

Annoyingly, they also got rid of the Spiderman ride (rumoured to be Pokemon-themed) and a lot of stuff is getting renewed. Shame the Back to the Future theme got a Minion-reskin, though as a fan of the movies, I'm glad I got to ride it at least once before it closed, even if at the time, I couldn't understand a word Japanese Doc Brown was saying.

Not sure if a Universal in Britain would have the same lure. Like others have said, the ones in America, Japan and Singapore have the attraction of blue skies (except last Sunday) and guaranteed decent summers. Always tends to be a lottery when you go in the UK, and they just aren't the same when you're getting soaked outside or having to juggle an umbrella.

Universal Orlando Super Mario World

Universal Studios Florida is on track to open an Epic Universe Park featuring Super Nintendo World in 2025.

Nintendo Life wrote:It teased what fans could expect with some animated footage and now in an update courtesy of Theme Park Insider, we've got another look at the plans for this park thanks to a new model featured at a recent "Epic Universe" park preview event.

It's similar to existing versions of the park with Super Nintendo World (featuring Mario and friends) up front, followed by Donkey Kong Country up the back. The Donkey Kong section reportedly has a fair bit of "extra real estate" next to it, which suggests it could be used to further expand the Nintendo area in the future.
