Here's an interesting twist: You can't access Miiverse while playing Smash Bros. on the current 3DS model, as Smash Bros. has access to more RAM and processing than usual so some OS functionality is disabled.

You'll be able to access full functionality on the New 3DS, but it seems that new games will have a bit of extra power going for them (at the expense of Miiverse).

Bah, none of the shops I went to had it available for sale. I felt rather desperate and sad going pretty much half an hour after "launch".
