Echoes are same franchise. Also, it's going to be an echo of Palutena, Pac-man, Robin, Shulk, Bowser Jr., Duck Hunt, Ryu, or Cloud
Whilst the Box Theory is quite strong, I think its a bit of a leap to assume it has to be one of those characters.
I want the box theory to be true, but also be surprised when they then announce more characters after. I just asked the question based on the box theory to see what people here want and to spark discussion. But also, the Box theory is literally that it's one of those 8 characters.
I don't think that stacks up though. Whats to stop them sliding a character in somewhere else in the order? Its only the characters in order that we currently KNOW after all. You can only put characters in order you know.
What...
The characters are in order according to the order they are right now except for Corrin and beyond. This means it has to be one of those 8 characters because of the 'group of 9' formatting they decided to use on the box. If there was an echo in another group of 8, we would have seen the alteration in the order in an earlier group.
Hmm, couldn't Corrin just have been moved to balance up the sides so that the last characters displayed on both sides are new and not just an Echo? I mean its not the final art either way. If they aren't counting the 'blank' slots, then the characters are still in order. It'd still be a Group of 8 and a Group of 7 on the left (before Isabelles existence). That still kinda checks out to me. If I had new characters, I'd want them on both sides of the box, not just on one side.
I also sorta think that leaving an Echo as a big reveal seems a little unlikely if there are only two characters left.
I actually think the two characters left thing stacks up a lot more than one having to be an Echo, although it certainly could be Ken.
