Sushi Striker: The Way of Sushido

Nintendo Switch, 3DS

Developer: Nintendo/indieszero
Publisher: Nintendo
Release date: 8 June 2018

I couldn't find a thread for this, and any discussion is just getting lost in the Switch chat thread.

So this action-puzzler has a demo out now on Switch. It was originally a 3DS-only game, but now has a Switch version too.

First impressions from a breif playthrough was the selection of the sushi plates was a bit complicated with the analogue stick. It kept jumping around to ones I didn;t want, but perhaps this will improve with time.

I'm wondering whther I'd actually be better off getting this on 3DS instead, if the touch controls make it easier.

Game seemed like fun though, it's definitely worth a go on the demo to give it a try. It'd be great to hear what others think.

Cheers for tag sir, aye this is delightful! Presentation is to die for, I'm not always keen on wacky anime humour but it worked wonders for me here, certainly wasn't expecting it to the degree it's at ha.

Liked the puzzler gameplay but will have to try more to get a better sense of what depth is there. I really love multiplayer based puzzlers like Puyo Puyo and Puzzle League, this being online is honestly tempting me quite a bit

Just downloading the demo as I really like the look of this. Demo will really need to blow my socks off for me to drop 40 notes on it though

I've got it pre-ordered, but I hope to god we can play it with the original Japanese dub. American male Musashi sounds atrocious.

It’s also worth noting you can use touch controls on the Switch too.

Agreed, while it was fun, it's way too expensive for me at the moment.

I take that back. I tried the demo on my brother's Switch, and really liked the voice acting. Can't wait to get the game later today!
