I thought some people might be interested in this. It just started, with StarFox, and is (apparently) going to run for four hours (counting breaks, I assume). It's also Nintendo's 121st birthday today, so what a perfect way to celebrate. It's by the group who did Symphonic Fantasies last year, which was generally considered fantastic, so it's bound to be worth a listen.

If someone could find a way of recording this - my son's coming home in the next 10 mins and I'll miss a fair bit of this putting him to bed - that'd be amazing.

The entire thing is being recorded by people on GAF, so you'll be able to catch it afterwards once they upload it. They'll even be nice enough to cut it into individual sections, if I remember last year.

They're doing Galaxy now, then taking an intermission. They must be planning for the Zelda section to be long, or they've got a surprise ending planned.

I keep forgetting Pikmin's music was done by Hajime Wakai; I get it mixed up with Animal Crossing, for which I think Kazumi Totaka provided the music.

Brilliant. Just tuned in now and it's two German people talking about strawberry float knows what. Something about a piano. I pressed the pause button hoping in vain it would start from where I left it. :(

Anyone had a particular favourite arrangement, so far?

The original retro Mario one was fantastic, as was the Galaxy one.

Zelda time now!

Galaxy was a smart arrangement; really close to the game, too.

Looking forward to this. Having been spoiled by the Big Band CD and Hyrule Symphony, I'm worried that my hopes are excessively high.

Bit miffed I missed Star Fox arrangement. Enjoyed Pikmin, though!

This is a glorious version of Kokori Village. The bar for Skyward Sword has been set.

Have you heard the stringed arrangement of the forest from the Hyrule Symphony album? I got the impression that this particular version borrowed some of its elements; it's a fantastic melody. If Skyward Sword could somehow peer the sheer sense of it, that would be a miracle. (Makes me wonder who the lead composer will be. Minegishi, probably.)

Edit: That's a stellar rendition of Twilight Princess's most elegant piece of music. Sublime.

Lylat Wars and StarWing (Space Suite)

Super Mario Bros

Will update this post if any more are added.

Nice, listening to the Metroid one now.

Someone on GAF has put all the songs into an album http://www.mediafire.com/?osvld7qwbo1gd22

Holy gooseberry fool, a brief rendition of the Corruption menu/end credits music on the last track. It's wasted in that, should have been a full track :x
