I've nothing against Islam, btw. It's foolish to blame an entire religion because of the actions of a few (sorry, several) idiots.

I was in the Student's Union the other day with some of my student buddies, the Christian Society were outside handing out flyers and whatnot.

We were sat having a beer, when a Muslim chap approached us and asked us if we'd considered joining Islam, one of the guys who I was with is a Muslim and did a massive facepalm, we politely told him we weren't interested and he started chatting about some of the good work the Islamic Society does. The SU manager came over and told him that he'd have to leave (I assume someone else had complained about him), I chipped in and said he wasn't doing any harm and we didn't mind (BIG mistake).

Both he and the manager left our table and me and my friends got back to our drinks, a few minutes later the Muslim chap returned, pulled a seat up to our table and continued with his anecdotes about the Islamic Society, things then took a turn for the worst, my Muslim friend Habib said something to him in English, and the guy flipped "HOW DARE YOU SPEAK TO ME IN ENGLISH!! DURKA DURKA DURKA DURKA" Habib kept his cool and just talked to him in whatever their language is (Urdu, Arabic, ???). After a while he started talking to the rest of us in English again, saying that if we came with him he'd buy us each a Qur’an and show us some passages to read, he then said that if any of us ever insulted Allah, he'd shoot us and kill all of our families.

This went on for over thirty minutes, the guy had just dropped into a state of absolute insanity he kept trying to make us come with him and telling us how great Islam was whilst making mental threats including bum raping us ( ), stabbing us with dirty needles, kidnapping our parents, stabbing and shooting us and people we know, in the end I excused myself and went and got the manager again, when he came and asked him to leave the guy went absolutely mental, screaming, pushing over tables, it was terrifying, it took four staff to drag him out where they held him until the police got there.

Absolute nutter.

I can laugh about it now, but at the time it was genuinely terrifying, he was quite a small guy, but wore a big coat so could very easily have had a weapon, and the way he was talking would suggest he was the type who might carry something.
