I wouldn't do it even if there was a 90% chance of success. A more interesting question would be if you had 5 years left to live but a trial drug had a 10% chance of curing you but killed 90% of those who tried it so far. Would you bank the 5 years or gamble on longer?

Is there a 90% chance of death? Or do I get some chance of other random side effects like a third leg sticking out of my bottom? In any case I don't think I'd try it unless I was terminally ill.
