80 million now:
The juggernaut that is Grand Theft Auto V has now surpassed 80m sales, according to publisher Take-Two. In the company's Q4 and fiscal year earnings release, Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick confirmed that the title has now sold at least another 5m copies since the company's last earnings report in February, taking its total sell-in figure to an impressive 80m since its launch in September 2013.

I must admit that I have more than one copy of it. I bought it on the 360 at launch and then got the PS4 version. And then picked up the digital version in a sale :fp: .

As I have mentioned before, I no longer play the missions in the GTA games as I find them to be finicky and tedious. I love just wandering around the fantastic environments and trying stuff out, though.

I only have one copy, although I have been tempted to buy again in Steam so I can use my Steam Link and Controller properly.

I think it is was to come to Switch it would be an awesome selling point for me to get a switch as this and zelda are games i would love to be able to have a blast on for a bit when in a pub or on a train or something.

I own it on PS3 and PS4, and it's my most played PS3 game with other 300 hours. GTAO is brilliant

Just the one copy for me so far, on 360, but when I get around to building a new and shiny gaming PC in the next 12-18 months Ill pick it up on Steam to give it another playthrough. Im not surprised theyre hitting these numbers, its still offered in a lot of console bundles so even if punters have played it on PS360 theyll double dip on the new machines.

I account for four of those sales...

bought it on Xbox 360. Sold it and bought it on PS4. Sold that and bought it on PC. Also bought it again on PS4 as a gift for a family member!

My favourite thing to do on it is to get tooled up with all the guns, cruise around looking for a defensive position (with cover from helicopters and flanking) and then just raise that wanted level to 5 and see how long I can survive in that one spot.

There's a particularly good spot in an apartment block overlooking on of the marinas in Vespucci.

Still haven't played GTA V. I intend to get a PS4 at some point though, so will probably buy a copy then.

If they ever did a decent sale on the digital version on it then I reckon they could. I'd like to own this digitally but have never seen it cheap enough to bother double dipping for.

Yeah that's always been a bit of a miss in my opinion. There's a military base in the game, why wouldn't the military get called in at a certain level of chaos? Would be great fun trying to outrun choppers, tanks and fighter jets in a sports car/ice cream truck.

The prison always annoyed me. Why build such an awesome looking place into the game and do nothing with it?

I haven't played it for a while btw, so maybe they patched in some prison stuff.

Is the online any good now? It was a bit dodgy at launch (after the servers finally started working) with not really much to do, so I never got into it. I completed the single player mode instead, which was ace.

I imagine that day will come soon, they havent been shy about making deep discounts to their other games so once interest in this, especially the online part, starts to drop off I would expect a major sale to come along. A sale price that doesnt also try to jam a load of online currency down your throat could be far trickier however.

There is tons more content now, if anything it is overwhelming in constantly sending you in-game texts and missions. But also I thought it had plenty of content to begin with - you just have to level into a lot of it.

It's £25 in supermarkets and I regularly pick it up and consider it. Had it before on PS3, started it on PS4 but it was too soon.
