Tales of Xillia - is it Z-illia or X-illia?

Xillia 2 is out this Friday? Bloody hell, that snuck up on me.
Might have to pick it up while I'm out and about in Leeds for the afternoon.

Got the first one of this finally for a tenner yesterday, looking forward to getting stuck in. Not played a Tales game in years.

Mine got dispatched from Amazon today, although I won't play it until I've finished Xillia 1. So many Tales of games to play through...

Mine shipped today but only because I wanted a Day 1 edition!

Wont play it for a while my backlog is too high

strawberry floating hell, £45 in GAME. I expected about £40.
Anywhere doing this cheaper than Gamestop? They're selling the Day 1 edition for £36.97.

Rather enjoying it so far, battle system is cool and Dem graphics is lovely.

Started it today, really enjoying it! after playing the Symponia's it's nice to go back to a good looking Tales game

Not sure what to make of the second so far. The payments can be annoying and the short chapters are ok I suppose but it wants you to level up doing side quests which seems to be a big part of it.

I like that the characters have their own sub plots!
I could not give two gooseberry fools about the Kitty sidequest

Usual Tales where everyone stays close to the boss meaning instant wipeout!
Usual Tales where the enemies are easy and the bosses are a lot harder!

Should be noted that i'm playing on Hard for better items

Why do all tales games have that stupid issue where you tell characters to spread out but instead they all crowd in one area (Usually next to you or the boss) making them vulnerable to instant death!

I actually don't mind the loan payment stuff. The game practically throws Gald at you through the side quests, plus you get some nice bonus items out of it.

I don't mind the payment's either. What I do mind is Nova popping up every two seconds asking for money

Yeah it could get annoying. Even if you told her to strawberry float off, the moment you got anymore Gald she was popping up again. I usually just gave her way more than she wanted to shut her up for a while.

Sometimes I'd like to keep my money for weapons!

seems a heck of a lot to pay off too. I'm hoping as the game progresses you get more cash. I'm only 11hrs in.

The cat system is also a big :fp:

I didn't mind the cat system, it's a good way to get crafting materials without needing to go all over the place, so you can do other stuff like Elite Monster hunting. Also a good way to get materials to complete side quests without needing to do much.
And the game does just keep throwing money at you. Even buying new weapons/armour all the time I was never really finding myself dropping beneath 100,000.

Yeah, the Tales games actually make you earn trophies rather than dishing them out for reasons like "You finished the tutorial"

Also, you can fast travel immediately from the start of both Xillia games? You never have to earn/unlock it apart from actually reaching a destination on foot first.
