Lesson 2: Drama

Firstly it's late and I'm not good enough to write a play. So as posted by moggy i'll just post the general outline to my play:

I would like the school to either write a play or the outline of a GRcade play (minimum word count 250)

It's based on the The Odd Couple. It can be called The GRcade Odd Couple - very original I know.

Calix Unger is an opinionated, some may say bigoted, and outspoken gay man who finds himself kicked out of his house and having to find somewhere new to live.

DBloscar Madison is a crude, loudmouthed and slightly homophobic Muslim who through some set of events finds himself needing a roommate.

The rest writes itself really. But i'll go on I guess.

Naturally the two become roommates and constantly bicker due to their different beliefs.

DBlosca tries setting up a double date with a couple of sisters living in the same building. This of course fails drastically on the grounds of Calix being gay - something DBloscar just can't comprehend:

“Come on man, ya'll just ridiculous . It's a choice, it's a lifestyle, it's way of being....gay. I have not seen a gay animal unless he is retarded one that can't tell the difference between male/female.”

One day DBloscar is eating his Linguine but Calix is not happy that it contains Halal meat as he thinks that is wrong, so in a fit of rage he launches it across the kitchen and into the wall.

They argue so much that Calix moves out. There's 3 possibly endings to the play that you could see depending on the night you go to watch:

Ending 1 - In a shocking turn of events Calix becomes a terrorist and blows Dbloscar and himself up

Ending 2 - Dbloscar gives into his homosexual desires and the two strawberry float

Ending 3 - They learn to respect each other as humans and go there separate ways and forget about their previous prejudices,

I think in this current climate we find ourselves this play would be educational and thought provoking

I'm gonna tell a little story about how I moved to GRcade
It may sound like i've copied lyircs from elsehwere,
but I promise you I need this for the word count,
which is why word count is one word not two.

Now, this is a story all about how
My life got flipped-turned upside down
And I'd like to take a minute
Just sit right there
I'll tell you how I became the prince of a town called the Football Thread

In west Essex born and raised
In Islington is where I spent most of my days
Chillin' out maxin' relaxin' all cool
And all shootin some football outside of the school
When Photek & Mafro were up to no good,
Started making trouble in my neighborhood
I got in one little fight and my mom got scared
She said 'You're movin' with your auntie and uncle to another thread'

I begged and pleaded with her day after day
But she packed my suit case and sent me on my way
She gave me a kiss and then she gave me my ticket.
I put my Walkman on and said, 'I might as well kick it'.

First class, yo this is bad
Drinking orange juice out of a champagne glass.
Is this what the people of the Mod Room are living like?
Hmmmmm this might be alright.

But wait I hear they're prissy, bourgeois, all that
Is this the type of place that they just send this cool cat?
I don't think so
I'll see when I get there
I hope they're prepared for the prince of Bel-Air

Well, the plane landed and when I came out
There was a dude who looked like a cop standing there with my name out
I ain't trying to get arrested yet
I just got here
I sprang with the quickness like lightning, disappeared

I whistled for a cab and when it came near
The license plate said Drumstick and it had Harry Ellis for an avatar
If anything I could say that this cab was rare
But I thought 'Nah, forget it' - 'Yo, home to Off Top-ic".

I pulled up to TCRT about 5am and most a post about Task of the Week
And I yelled to the cabbie "THIS DOESN'T RHYME I JUST WANT POINTS AND I'm DRUNK"
I looked at my kingdom
I was finally there
To sit on my throne as the Prince of GRcade

My submission for Drama is:

Joer, the story of Task of the Week.

Once there was a guy called Joer, he was very drunk and didn't want to let his team down. He came online at 5am to write a little story about this wole situation, all the while dragging it out for the word count. He realised while looking over the restrictions that the post he just made for the song didn't have a word count restriction on it, it was this task about drama. Joer was very distraught and wrote a whole past aout it to express his feelings. He knew it wasn't oing to be right and his words would probbly not make sense, but he didn't want to let his team down and commited to writing some gooseberry fool about it.

Joer got to this stage in this story and pressed CTRL + C and then CTRL + V in a word count program he Googled to see how far through he was in his story. Joer realised hw was only 154 words through it.Thankfully it was 5am and he would probably forget what time it was when he made this post when he has a notification in the morning saynig he has won maximum points for effort. Joer is sitting on the floor and his bum hurts because of it, but he does really like IronHide because e's in his team and hinks he deserves his own play written about him. Joer has decided to not do the sports challenge because he needs to sleep and he hopes this is enough words for 250.

Yes. 256.

Well pupils, here we are at the end of term and I will be giving you your marks for the final three lessons, expelling those that have let the school down and setting the final exams for those that move on to finals week.

For this weeks marking, I have had to be strict and have therefore disqualified the following entries:

Music:

Rax (did not specify the tune)
Joer (did not specify the tune)

PE:

mcjihge2 (no link to GRcade in the photograph)

Drama

Joer (a collection of words does not make a play)

The scores for each lesson will be posted shortly.

Appeal not upheld. GRcade might have featured your product, but the lesson rule was to feature GRcade in your product.

Eugh, I really need to read when the deadlines are. I don't get enough time during the week and was out all day yesterday, but thought I'd have time this morning.

Sorry team, my participation in this contest has been a shambles.

Not bad 8-)

Though, and at the risk of losing my joint top spot were there no bonus points up for grabs this week?

Feel bad for joer, obvious what the tune for his song was but dems the rules I know
