That is just amazing :o . Incredible work, Rax!

It really was. I always planned to leave the final open to the public, but I might have cheated and made up a "the headmaster's vote counts for 10" rule if he had lost.

:D

This kind of abuse of power i can really get behind.

One thing I was expecting more of were people using the special powers that they were given. Only Hyperion ever bothered.

The idea behind powers was to shake things up a little and bring the game slightly more in to line with the usual type of forum game. Nothing game breaking, just something to add a little controversy.

The powers were (i'll use the current Christmas names as I can't be arsed looking up who is who!):

THE CHEAT

Johnny Witney Valentine:

Whether it is laziness or nastiness you are the sort of kid that just doesn't want to submit their own work and is happy to steal from others.

To use your power you will need to PM me with the name of the person you want to copy from, this PM will have to be sent before the weekly deadline. Doing this will enable you to pick up the weekly completion points without having to submit any work and if you manage to copy from one of the top 3 pupils of the week then you will get their bonus points as well.

Due to the crackdown on cheating the use of this power will be too risky for multiple use and so you will only get to use this power once. If you get caught by the headmasters spies then you will lose 10 points and be exposed as a cheat in front of the whole of the school.

The Snitch

Irene Demova:

Remember the horrible kids at school that would tell the teacher if they thought they saw any kid being naughty? Yeah well that's you....

If you suspect another kid of cheating, bullying or pranking then you will need to tell the headmaster. You will do this by sending me a PM.

If you correctly guess the name of a cheat, bully or prankster then you will gain 5 bonus points for you and your house.

If you are incorrect then you will lose 5 points for yourself and for your house.

As nobody like a grass, you will not be able to use your power more than two times. Snitches really do get stitches if they do it too often....

Teachers Pet

Rudolph's Ballbag:

Oh dear, you are one of those kids that just can't help seeking the approval of adults and you are willing to risk mockery in order to gain the headmaster's favour.

To use your power you will need to post a picture of an apple in the thread and make it clear that you are leaving that apple for the headmaster.

Once done you will gain extra favour for that week and will gain 10% extra marks on your homework (this is your grade for the week not your overall points), if your work is good this could potentially put you in the top 3 for the week and gain you those all important bonus points.

Additionally, once used you will be immune from the risk of bullies, pranksters and cheaters for that week.

Kids hate teachers pets though and adults don't like creepy kids and so you will only ever be able to use this once.

The Prefect

Joer:

The headmaster likes and trusts you and so has appointed you prefect in order to act as his eyes and ears. As you need to gain the trust of the other kids your role will not be announced and it is probably best not to let them know.

The Bully

Saigon Slick:

Oh no, you are one of those kids that just can't help themselves and loves to pick on others. Why can't you just be nice and try to get on with people?

If you use your power then you will need to PM me the name of your victim. Once I have acknowledged this then you will need to be nasty to your victim in the thread by quoting them, ridiculing them and calling them a banana split. The thread post only needs to happen once.

Using your power will mean that your victim is too upset to work properly and will not receive any marks that week (for themselves and their house) even if they submit their work.

The headmaster will find out about this and so you may only use this power once.

Be careful, if another pupil grasses you up to the headmaster then you will be given a detention and will not score any points for that week.

The Prankster

RaXmas:

There's one in every class and you just can't help yourself. You see it as your duty to make the other kids laugh and have planned a big prank in order to secure your legendary status. It's a classic but fireworks down the toilet never gets old.

To use your power you will need to PM me to tell me you want to use it. You will then need to announce to the school that you need to leave the classroom to use the toilet. The fireworks have a very long fuse and so will not explode until the next day which will help cover your tracks, but you will need to ensure you use the power a minimum of two days before the deadline (if deadline is Sunday, you will need to use the power on the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday before).

Once used the resulting disruption will cause the headmaster to become distracted and he will not notice that you have not submitted your work that week. An easy 10 points if you don't fancy doing that weeks work!

As the headmaster is looking out for such disruptive behaviour you will have to make sure you do not get caught. If another kid grasses you up then you will be suspended for the week and will lose 5 points (for you and your house).

You only have one set of fireworks and so the power can only be used once.

I only missed one task, the cooking one and I only missed it because my plans changed at the last minute and I didnt cook breakfast on the Saturday morning, it was too late to use my power at that stage. I thought about doing it for the triple task to take some of the load off but I had a quiet week in work so I was able to knock together a couple of things there. Kinda sorry I didnt use it though, would have been interesting to see if I got caught.
