Lesson 2: Drama
Firstly it's late and I'm not good enough to write a play. So as posted by moggy i'll just post the general outline to my play:
I would like the school to either write a play or the outline of a GRcade play (minimum word count 250)
It's based on the The Odd Couple. It can be called The GRcade Odd Couple - very original I know.
Calix Unger is an opinionated, some may say bigoted, and outspoken gay man who finds himself kicked out of his house and having to find somewhere new to live.
DBloscar Madison is a crude, loudmouthed and slightly homophobic Muslim who through some set of events finds himself needing a roommate.
The rest writes itself really. But i'll go on I guess.
Naturally the two become roommates and constantly bicker due to their different beliefs.
DBlosca tries setting up a double date with a couple of sisters living in the same building. This of course fails drastically on the grounds of Calix being gay - something DBloscar just can't comprehend:
“Come on man, ya'll just ridiculous . It's a choice, it's a lifestyle, it's way of being....gay. I have not seen a gay animal unless he is retarded one that can't tell the difference between male/female.”
One day DBloscar is eating his Linguine but Calix is not happy that it contains Halal meat as he thinks that is wrong, so in a fit of rage he launches it across the kitchen and into the wall.
They argue so much that Calix moves out. There's 3 possibly endings to the play that you could see depending on the night you go to watch:
Ending 1 - In a shocking turn of events Calix becomes a terrorist and blows Dbloscar and himself up
Ending 2 - Dbloscar gives into his homosexual desires and the two strawberry float
Ending 3 - They learn to respect each other as humans and go there separate ways and forget about their previous prejudices,
I think in this current climate we find ourselves this play would be educational and thought provoking
