I'll be going to one of the evenings, either Monday or Thursday.

They've just announced the contestants: James Acaster, Jessica Knappett, Phil Wang, Kerry Godliman, and Rhod Gilbert. Should be a good one!

James Acster should be perfect for this, he's a bit like a young Sean Lock with crazy out of the box thinking. He has a four part standup show on Netflix. Rhod Gilbert is most famous of the five, and should also be well suited.
The other three all look familiar but not sure where I've seen them from.

Absolutely incredible  one of the best bits of the whole series for me. Made up that he won his first show on the last episode.

Winner spoilers:

Bit gutted that Tim or Russell didn't pip Liza to the post, thought they were both probably more worthy winners. Especially Tim. He's had me in hysterics in every episode.

I'm the same. Rhod Gilbert is brilliant and I really like what I've seen of James Acaster. Don't know much about the other three.

Went to the filming of S07E02 last night. It was so funny!

It started at 7pm but you're told to get there 2hrs early as it's first come first served. Due to work and traffic we got there at 6pm and that was fine, we were around the 90th people to arrive. Then you wait in a tent with a free beer until finally at 7:30pm they led us to the studio.

We got the most perfect seats possible - front row, dead center. I could have kicked Greg Davies without leaving my seat if I'd wanted! You are much closer than it looks on TV. Recording started about 8:15pm and finished at 11:15pm. They film continuously and have a 5 minutes break where adverts would be. So there's not much starting and stopping.

I've no idea how this episode will look on TV but most of it will be cut. Greg Davies couldn't get the phrase "cum torch" out of his head and kept messing up his lines towards the end. I think it's going to be a good series, James Acaster was the most entertaining for me and Rhod Gilbert was also very good. Phil Wang was hilarious in the pre-recorded tasks but didn't say a lot in the live show. Should come across well though. The two women were funny but didn't seem to understand the game so much and complained of cheating when someone thought outside the box.

Overall it was a brilliant night and should be a great series.

Series 7 is going to be gooseberry fool now if I don't hear Greg saying "cum torch".

Thanks a lot satriales. :x

Good, I think the last season was lacking in some lateral thinking and creative solutions, which is a big part of the reason I love this show, so Im very happy to hear that.

Sounds great! We’re heading up for the early recording tomorrow, thinking getting in line about 2 hours before which sounds like should give us loads of time. Can’t wait.

Really good! We got there pretty early which meant we ended up hanging around by the big marquee for a while which was unbearably hot, but it was definitely worth it. I know you said Phil Wang seemed a bit quieter in the studio when you were there, but he was on form on Monday. I was almost in tears at a bit when Alex said he was “languishing”, Phil said “no, no, WANGuishing” which Alex said he was going to claim as his own before he repeated it and everyone realised it sounded a bit racist. they also did the first ever live team task which took a hilarious amount of setting up and explaining before the most anti-climactic finale ever.

Both Greg and Alex were excellent off camera too: Alex is so switched on and quick, and Greg’s audience interaction is perfect. He had to redo an intro from a break about 10 times because he and everyone else kept cracking up at “Welcome, welcome, welcome, even the tossers!”

I’d recommend anybody who’s a fan of the show to go if you get the chance. Great day out.

Haha, that sounds great!
We also had a long, hot wait in the tent but it was well worth it.

Without giving much away there were two standout moments for me in the one I saw:
1. Wang did a drawing challenge where it was impossible to see what he had drawn. Greg then suggested that it might show up with ultraviolet light and quick as anything Rhod Gilbert said that it would show all the cum stains on Wang's outfit. This lead to 'cum torch' and about 30 minutes of unusable material.
2. James Acaster had read a task in the house and in the time it took to go outside forgotten what the task was and so just did his own thing. During a break near the end of filming he talked to us about how he is seeing what other people have done for the first time and now realising how badly he misinterpreted the tasks. The way he explained it was just hilarious.

I love how they keep managing to churn this show out and we don't have to wait long between series.
